Nice unit - here's some info for the DIY/tinkerer crowd
Mine worked great. It's a nicely simple system. I have other such things that have circuitry and microcontrollers I can't easily control, but this one is really just some traces and a button on a circuit board, and no other electronic components. The battery blanks are just pass-through wires. Most importantly to me - something the reviews didn't tell me (just had to hope) - is that the push button, though it feels the same on every push, does stay mechanically on or off (i.e. it's not momentary). This means you can push the button on, and then plug this into a smart plug and control it via an Amazon Echo or similar. Many other battery-powered Halloween/Christmas decorations, like blinking strand lights and ornamental trees and wreaths with lights just have momentary buttons that inform a chip to turn on or off, and once they lose power, they default to off, and won't light back up when power is restored. This one does, so yay. My one bit of confusion is why it comes with enough blanks to put 1 wired + 3 pass-through blanks into 5 devices, when everything receives only 4.5v, i.e. 3 AAAs worth of power. I.e. there are 5 extra blanks than you need. The instructions don't explain why.

Keeps my village lighted without changing batteries
I have several of these for my Christmas village and it does work very well. I jad allly Christmas lights on timer and this gadget allowed me to do that. It saves a lot of time from turning it on and off and from changing the batteries throughout the holiday season

convert from AAA battery to electric
I was going through so many batteries trying to keep my "candles" lit. This is a unit that comes with 4 main adapter batteries and quite a few filler batteries. You put in one of the mail batteries (connected by a wire to the hub) and put the other batteries to fill the remaining spots. Highly recommend!

It does what is says
It does what is says which is why it got 4 stars. I bought this for some battery powered Halloween decorations (blinking eyes). The design didn't fit the application very well as I couldn't space the devices where I wanted. Not to mention, you end up with a bunch of unsightly cords that need managing. I will likely cannibalize it for parts and make my own contraption.

Perfect!
My trees were eating up three rechargeable batteries a day. 6 trees made it horrible to keep them going. Now I have them hooked up to a plug that has a switch to turn off when I go to bed. Easy peasy!

Total Trash
Wasn't sure about buying it, and now I wish I hadn't. Used it to power 3 B/O with small lights........... had to replace the lights in all 3 pieces.I will stick with equipment I know works from now on.

Awesome awesome AWESOME!!
Be patient with me…. I’ll get to the review I promise, but you need to know the backstory first. We have five individual 13” tall metal (not very wide) marquee style letters that spell out “MERRY” we put out each year for Christmas. Each letter lights up using two (2) AAA Batteries with a super fidgety switch. Between the switch and how narrow the letters are, it’s WAS quite the feat to get them on and off throughout the day. Usually by the 3rd or 4th day, we were done and they were left off for the reset of the holiday season.I stumble across this looking for something else and it became the coolest savior for our “MERRY” sign just about the time we had given up on turning them on and off this holiday and not wanting to put them up ever again. We used the long length of each extension and plugged each of the five letter into the hub. Using fake snow we were able to hide the wires. We then connected the main plug into an Alexa enabled Smart Switch, plugged into the outlet we were using. The process of turning on the sign because FULLY automatic by simply saying, “ Alexa, turn on Merry”. The smart switch would turn on, the hub would engage and ALL FIVE letter would light up!!No more fighting with the switch, no more letter falling over because you accidentally hit one and no more, is the word straight? Ok how about now? Oh, the 2rd R is crooked? Ok.. how’s this now? (This is why it got old a few days into the holiday. With these replacing the batteries (10 as a matter of fact) and once the letters were all set and plugged in, a few words to Alexa and we could turn these on and off MULTIPLE times a day!!!! It was nice to FULLY enjoy the decoration as it was meant to be!!

Not the best
Bought this for Christmas village set up that I have. Don’t like the fact that I have to take out the “batteries” now that Xmas is over and I’m taking the village down. I have another brand that is a double A and it disconnects so I can leave the “batteries” in and pack everything up. Not convienent. Works great. Everything came on. Easy to do. Cord is long enough to reach where I need.
