One star is generous. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Inexpensive, easy, effective, fast, rich color. *by "***" on August 23, 2000* Somehow, when I ordered this product, I was sent two of them. Unfortunately, the first one I plugged in and used made a horrible noise and didn't work well. Obviously, it was damaged somewhere along the line. Since I already had the other one, I tried the other one and it's worked like a charm. For such an inexpensive scanner, it scans relatively fast, even at high resolutions. Comes with I-Photo Plus software, which looks similar to kid's software when looking at the screen, yet it is a quite powerful image editor. The drivers integrated themselves flawlessly into my other editors, so scanning from another program is not a problem. The USB interface is a plus because there's no switching the power on/off - it comes on and goes off automatically when you need it. The only real drawback is that pages larger than 8.5 X 11 probably won't fit on the scanner. Go ahead and get it now - you'll be glad you did.
