If you love visiting English cathedrals, you will love this book. Trevor Beeson goes behind the scenes to provide a fascinating look at the running of a major Anglican cathedral. The dean pulls no punches in his description of the multitudinous duties under his umbrella. If, like I, you have visited Winchester Cathedral you should not be without this book. Beeson writes with clarity and wit. I was glad to have seen him in person in 1987, 1990 and 1993. He was an excellence preacher.
