I only need it held open to a certain extent (to let cats in and out, balcony door.) I use it to block the space from the door closing, rather than hold the door open. I wouldn't completely rely on it to keep the heavier exterior wider open (i.e. not in the door jam) when I have the cats outside, without several supervised test runs first (in warmer weather). However, I feel comfortable it will hold open (lesser weight) interior doors. It's well made and I'd order again. Update on 1/22/21: It holds the outside door open just fine.

I bought this because of the sun streaming in on our new expensive drapes at an angle in the mid-afternoon and did not want to install any sort of drapery hangers on the wall. It works perfectly and everyone thinks it is kind of cute. it seems very well made and looks to be durable although I have only had it for a couple of months. It is heavy enough without being really heavy in weight.

We bought the polar bear version as the doorstop for our nursery. It is very cute in person and VERY effective. The door is somewhat on an angle so it hangs very heavy and has a tendency to swing shut if left alone and this doorstop is plenty heavy to hold it back while also being light enough to push out of the way with your foot if your hands are full. The dimensions given are way off. It is more like 9" long by 5" wide by 5" tall.

Very cute! I got the polar bear. I discovered I needed a doorstop after I brought home a new kitten and he (for some reason) loves to play with the bedroom door. He has closed both himself and his sister in the bedroom at different points while I've been at work. I didn't realize why the door was closing until I caught him one day while I was at home. I needed a doorstop for indoors and on a carpeted floor - so no unsightly rubber stops for me. This doorstop is a good size, very cute, and is heavy enough to keep a kitten from closing my doors.

This is pretty cute! Only reason I didn't give it 5 stars was because the bowtie on the mouse was sewn on upside down which I had to fix. Otherwise we shall see how it holds up over the years.

I have a lab that likes to shove open the door at night. This would make the door hit the door stop with a loud reverberating booooing and waking us up. This holds the door to where now when he comes, in it barley opens the door just enough for him to get through and doesn’t bang open the door. This has worked perfectly for what I wanted. I got the mouse which it’s bottom heavy so doesn’t tip over.

I saw this mouse door stop while out shopping but it was double the price. Got home and looked it up on SmileAmazon and found this one. Since it was a better price, I went ahead and made the purchase. So glad I did. He is adorable and has enough weight for a door stop, however I am using him as décor. Very happy with this purchase.

I bought two of these, one for a door that won't stay open and one to stop a door knob from damaging the wall. The polar bear and penguin are solid, well made, and very cute. Much nicer than a regular door stop. My only challenge is keeping the dogs from using these as dog toys. Otherwise excellent additions to the house.

Love this. It's so cute. Holds the door perfectly and is the right weight for a normal household door. Its soft to the touch and not rock solid for clumsy people like me who are likely to walk into it.

Super cute! It works wonder to keep the door to our hallway open. It’s a regular door so I don’t know if it would hold a heavier one. It’s very well made and cute. We love the fact that it’s a plush, it’s painless when you stab your toe on it in the middle of the night, unlike those cast iron ones.

Ordered this for my little boys bedroom door as he really liked it... and there was no bow tie attached to it like photo/description when ordering.

I got tired of stubbing my toe on the book I used as a doorstop and picked up this cute little mouse. Even the cat likes to rub up against it. No more slamming door when the windows are open!
