Fernco, 1056-64, Flexible Coupling, For Pipe Size 6" x 4"

These 4”x6” runner boots work great. I am using them at the top inlets of a water harvesting system that utilizes 4 inch -pvc pipe schedule 40. The 4 inch end of the boot slips onto the pvc with no problem. The boot comes with two stainless steel clamps that fit each end of it. I used the 6 inch end to secure screen to filter out debris and keep it from entering the system. The boots are durable, the size is accurate, and they are a good value for the money. I would recommend them.

Used this to drop my Rockler dust right collector from the twin branch to a single pipe for the cyclone. The 6" section was far too big but the strapping pulled it down tight and the seal is great. For my application this worked perfectly.

This is not the correct size for a radon reducer. It should be a Fenco fitting for 4 inch to pvc on on side and the size that fits a 4 inch CONCRETE PIPE !! I measures about 5 and appropriately 3/8 inches I.D. A 6 to 4 Fenco is to big to attach to the radon motor flange by 3\4 inches. I ordered the Fenco from a plumbing shop. No one will have in stock. Its an odd size fitting that Radon Away uses and probably planned that way. Part was $11.69 including shipping. Fenco is a great product just wrong size. AM

Attempting to repair a damaged sewer pipe I bought a 6”x4” reducer from a plumbing store and I ordered 1 thru Amazon. The sewer pipe diameter was larger than the 6” side of the boot. After several attempts of trying to install the boot from the plumbing store I was in a dilemma until the boot I ordered from Amazon was delivered. The dimensions are slightly larger in size and that made the difference installing the boot and completing the repair. I would definitely order this product over any product from a plumbing store.

I installed this on a RP265 Radon Fan from Radon Away. It worked fine for me. The 4" side fit perfectly onto a 4" PVC pipe (a pipe, not the larger fitting for a pipe obviously). The 6" side was a little big for the radon fan (by a fraction of an inch), but easily tightened down around it snugly. At first I was worried it would be too loose because it is not as snug as the 4" side on a 4" pipe initially. After tightening it down around it though, it sealed firmly. I could lift the fan by the fitting (very securely in place) and it had a very tight seal. My fan has good pressure and I've tested it and it has no air leaks. I saw some reviews suggesting this was not appropriate for a radon fan, but this was not true in my experience. You just need to tighten it down adequately and it works fine.

I bought this piece to transition from a 6 inch PVC pipe to my radon mitigation fan. Unfortunately the 6 inch side of the coupling did not fit properly to the fan. Fortunately however I pushed the fitting higher up on the fan motor and made it work. So keep in mind the 6 inch side may not work for every application but the product is great. You can see from the photo that they rubber coupling dimples in quite a bit to make the transition.

Excellent product will definitely try again. I fully recommend this.

If you need a fitting, FERNCO is the only way to go. Measure right and you cant be disappointed. These things last for decades before needing replaced.
