Great book for my son, needed to add some history to his early reading
We like to alternate our son's reading of books he would normally pick up with some that are about historical facts to mix things up and keep his reading interest and these books do the trick. He really enjoys them and starts up additional conversations.

These are the best nonfiction books for 3rd through 6th graders for AR.
These are the best nonfiction books for 3rd through 6th graders for AR. As a teacher and a parent, these are always my first recommendation to meet their AR goal. We require 3 nonfiction books per 9 weeks and these can be read in just a few days. They are informative and the kids overwhelmingly enjoy them.

Perfect Introduction.
Love these books as they are a perfect introduction for kids to these historical figures. My daughter loved Ghenghis Khan. I highly reccomend it. Whoemver wants to read only about inventors and atheletes should not be buying these books. Ghengis was a man of his time. I think it was very well presented.

a way to get non-fiction readers interested
Kids who don't want to try non-fiction because they think it's boring will really be surprised to find that real amazing people are interesting to learn about. This series is a great way to get your non-fiction haters to become interested and want to learn more. My young readers love telling me about these true heroes!

Has a nude pencil drawing
Beware of little kids getting their hands on this educational material -- there is one sketch of folks performing ballet/circus in the nude.

Good biography of Chingis Khan. If anyone can start spelling right his name...
The text content is good, but the pictures are a bit dodgy and have been approximated to fit into stereotyping for European readers.

The book was pretty good giving the brief pictures of his times
The book was pretty good giving the brief pictures of his times. However, the price is over charged as the actual price is only Rs.199 which is given in the cover. I can't believe I was made to pay double the price of the actual.

Kiddie book.
Written for kids, I gather, from the content n presentation style. This is not your cup of tea, if you are looking for a comprehensive account of the Great Khan.
