The Following: Season 2

Some actors really shined, like Emma and Joe Carrol and now the "twins: Mark & Luke - he's an amazing actor.. Some other actors, not so much. I could do with less close ups of Mike Weston. We get it. He has pretty eyes. Move on. So much slashing, it almost got old but the story line kept me watching, so much that I spent almost $60 buying all 3 seasons.

I can not honestly tell you how I liked the 2nd season as I have only watched the1st episode of season 2. But I will go a head and give it 5 stars, because I did watch the complete 1st season, and I loved it!!!! And after watching just the 1st episode of the 2nd season, OMG I can not wait to watch the whole season, and I will, one after the other non stop. But I think I will wait until the weekend to watch cause trust me, if you watch the 1st episode you will not be able to stop yourself from clicking "watch next" With the weekdays there is not enough time in the evening to really get your teeth into it, or shall I say you will, but you won't be able to unclench them after the 1st episode. And you will suffer at work the next day. Oh yea you will be so tired that you will imagine one of the followers standing next to you at the coffee machine and as they reach for a clean cup they slice your guts with a blade and grin as you slide down to the floor in a pool of your own blood. So please watch at your own risk. Eeeeeeeeeeeeeek!!!! ;)

Here's the thing about "The Following", it's supposed to be a dark show. Cults are nothing to mess around with. If you look at history, thousands of people have died following a cult leader. While the "Joe Carroll" cult is fictional, the 2nd season adds in a look at what a real cult might look like starting in episode 7. It's isolated and guarded heavily.I actually didn't think they'd go to a second season. But now they just announced season 3. It makes me wonder what is going to happen over the last few episodes. There's a bit of a teaser in Episodes 7 & 8 of what is coming. It keeps getting better, especially with the new cast members.I don't know why people are ripping this show. It's really good if you give it a chance and can handle some dark themes. Yes, the show does have a lot of stuff that might push some boundaries. But that's why they have that TV-14 rating. It's not for little kids. It's intended for a mature audience. If you can't stand a show that is based somewhat on actual events, then don't watch it.

I love this show and rushed out to buy the first series as soon as it was released in Australia after completing its run on free to air television. Naturally I was elated when I was able to purchase it new via Amazon BEFORE the 2nd series went onto free to air television I. watched the first three episodes on the 1st disc and eagerly reached into the box for disc 2....but horror of horrors...it was not there!!!!!!!!! Missing!!!!! I returned the incomplete pack to Amazon also supplying a new address to send the complete pack to me. To make matters worse THE FOLLOWING SEASON 2 will be broadcast within a couple of weeks on television in this country so I have virtually paid double (with shipping costs). I eagerly await my new COMPLETE copy. I was not thrilled with all this but it still didn't deter me from eagerly awaiting the 2nd series. The first three episodes I saw in the series was just as exciting and entertaining as anything in the first...hence FIVE STARS!

I loved this show from the first episode! It’s smart, highly unpredictable, & has a great plot you won’t see coming. I’ve never seen anything like it before, (which is why I was stuck from season 1 episode 1). It’s crazy good!! I owned season 1 & watched the other 2 seasons on Netflix, but it is now unavailable on Netflix. =(Season 3 was kinda meh.You should definitely watch this whole show at least once.

Oh my gosh. What a good show! Suspenseful, creepy... was on the edge of my seat quite often. We marathoned both Season 1 and Season 2. Can 't wait for next season, but it's going to be hard having to watch it week to week instead of in long sessions. One word of caution, we were watching this through Amazon Instant Video on our Roku. When we started Season 2, the first episode on the left (where you normally start... read left to right) is the LAST episode. It kind of ruined it a little since we started with the season finale, we knew who was still alive at the end. If you're going to stream this through Amazon & Roku, make sure you go all the way to the RIGHT to start on episode 1.

It just keeps getting better and better!! Kevin Bacon is one of the best, and most under-rated, actors there is. OH MY GOSH! I bought the first season and have purchased this one as it is released. This is a keeper. James Purefoy is the perfect serial killer. I will always associate him with this character. I watch TV to be entertained. I don't expect, or want, it to be remotely real or possible. This series is neither. It is far fetched and totally improbable; Ryan and Mike survive things no human could. The police and FBI are clueless and always one step behind the cult. (OK, I'll buy that. I know some FBI agents.) The conspiracy is endless. Yeah, right. Great entertainment. Nothing like reality at all. My kind of TV.

The guys who sold me this--John with Turn to Start--was great! Really sweet guy. He personally fixed my issue and got back with me in a matter of just minutes. And he forgave for accidentally giving him a bad rating (thought I was giving a rating to the delivery guys who threw my package in the mud :( ). I couldn't have asked for a better experience. Thanks John!

Dass Katz- und Mausspiel zwischen dem Guru und dem kaputten Ex-Cop geht weiter. Besonders die Figur Joe Carrol ist unglaublich faszinierend dargestellt. Der gefallene Guru, der sich einmal bescheiden und nachdenklich, ja fast weinerlich gibt um dann wieder in seine größenwahnsinnige Genialität zu verfallen faszinierte mich noch mehr als in der ersten Staffel. Auch die neuen Figuren können überzeugen.Der Schwachpunkt der Serie ist die Handlung der einzelnen Folgen: Entführung-Befreiung-Flucht-Verfolgung und so weiter. Die extrem riskanten Alleingänge von Ryan Hardy und auch anderer Polizisten, sind nüchtern betrachtet, natürlich völlig unrealistisch. Deswegen gibt es auch 1- und 2-Stern-Bewertungen. Mich haben die Charaktere aber so fasziniert, dass ich über Story-Holes und manche Unglaubwürdigkeiten einfach großzügig hinwegesehen habe, deswegen gibt es auch vier Sterne.

Wir waren von Staffel 1 total begeistert und sehr gespannt, wie es in der 2. Staffel weiter geht. Leider war diese jedoch schon ab der ersten Folge sehr ernüchternd und wir mussten uns nach einigen Folgen tatsächlich aufraffen, die Staffel überhaupt noch zu Ende zu schauen. Ryan Hardy trifft in jeder Folge eine dumme Entscheidung nach der nächsten und treibt einen Zuschauer mit gesundem Menschenverstand damit in den Wahnsinn! Es wirkt regelrecht, als sollte mit dieser sich stetig wiederholenden Handlungsweise künstlich Spannung aufgebaut werden, damit man die Story lang genug ausdehnen kann, um die Staffel voll zu bekommen.Wir waren extrem enttäuscht und zum Ende hin auch echt genervt vom Charakter Ryan Hardy. Staffel 3 werden wir uns nicht antun. Schade.

This is such an addictive show. Joe Carroll is so evil and yet you can't help but like the actor that plays him James Purefoy. There are always so many twists to this show. I enjoy watching it.

Although I still love the series I wasn't a fan of the early connection to the other cult but it at least brought a great ending to the season. The introduction of the twins and their subsequent storyline was really good. Looking forward to another season.

Got this for my brother-in-law for Christmas and he says it's a must-watch! "HBO-caliber programming on regular TV!"
