The back is easily adjustable to anyone between about 5 feet and 6'6". really stable even over rough/steep terrain. The molle tape is really handy for strapping on extra bits, even if they aren't specifically designed for the system. The main compartment opens at both ends, with a drawstring barrier which allows we items to be placed in the bottom of the bag without soaking the rest of you kit. Otherwise it means you can have rapid access to 90% of your stuff without unloading the whole pack, ideal for when the rain arrives 10 minutes earlier than planned. Only (theoretical) drawback would be that the fabric isn't really waterproof, so for prolonged treks an internal dry-bag (e.g. a 110L heavy duty bin bag) and a waterproof bergen cover would be a wise investment.
