Q: This doesn't smell like the original bitter apple product. It smells more chemically & there wasn't a seal on the bottle. Is this safe to use?

I didn't think it smelled like the original either and it didn't work and neither did that phooey stuff . I would not buy it

Q: Would the odor of this be enought to keep cats off of an area you don't want them on?

This product does not repel via odor. It tastes bad. Dogs go to lick or chew something and it tastes bad, so they move on to something else. Hopefully a Nyla Bone. Check out some other products. I know there is something called Boundry, that will keep dogs and cats away from a treated area. There are other products you can buy. I guess I would google the question and go from there. Amazon probably has it! Good Luck

Well i dont think it will work on the yard. The smell might just dissipate easily outside.

Q: Can u spray it on trees. Or plants

The spray is not toxic and I wouldn't see why it can't be sprayed on plants.
