Okay
**Minor spoilers** Continues the reboot of the series following the events of Days of Future Past. Hit and miss really. Quicksilver is great (again) and has an action sequence here which ranks amongst the best in the series. Sadly the film puts a lot of focus on younger versions of characters from the original trilogy who are not as interesting as their older selves (except for Storm) which made me wish that I was watching one of those films. The film also badly misses the charisma of Wolverine whose cameo here feels shoehorned in. The increased violence from the previous films is a bit strange.

Fun X-Men movie but not the best in the series
Blu-ray reviewA fun entry into the X-Men series but not the best, with brilliant actors eventually buried by truck-loads of CGI-destruction. There are some great set pieces (a high speed rescue from an exploding building being a highlight) but maybe a little less character development than seen in the best X-Men films. Still a worthwhile addition to any Marvel lover's collection. The Blu-ray gets an extra star rating as it has a pin-sharp picture and a decent 1 hour "making of" with commentaries and blooper reel among the extras.

Terrible - the worst X-Men film of all
I've seen it twice. I thought it was poor the first time but a year later I thought I ought to give it another chance as I've generally enjoyed all the X-Men films, especially the one before this - Days of Future Past. The second viewing confirmed it - the worst X-Men film of them all, with the worst villian and the most boring story. Truly terrible - I can only hope they up their game for the next one.

After the excellent Days of Future Past I had high hopes for Apocolypse. It doesn't quite hit those highs. It's good to see the First Class versions of Xavier / Magneto etc get a film to themselves. However why the producers/writers feel that Wolverine - played by the superb Hugh Jackman - has to be in every Xmen movie because it did not add anything to this story and felt like it was there to please the fans. Apocalypse is a worthy opponent, but like the film itself he never quite delivers on the threat he poses. Having said all that this is a must see for any fan of the franchise and a worthy addition to it.

Extreme X-challenge
So you want more? Maybe some max-destruction from an uber baddy? A good back story prologue scene is well done and then the modern day fight is on. Usual Marvel standards are evident everywhere. Multiple plots with the characters political agendas at cross purposes provide tension. Still the bad guy is an order of magnitude above everyone else, and seems a little hard to confront. Makes all the trademark politics fade away. The end is a little deus-ex machina: Everyone fails and then there's a head to head with the villain. Is it just so Jane Grey can be revealed as something else, of still another whole order of magnitude above him? Or something else again? Not the most satisfying end but it does leave us with the question: What do we not know? We get only a tiny hint at the very end - Sets the scene for the PhoenixRECOMMENDED (how could you not!)

GRANDFATHER PARADOX
I ordered this as a pre-order and it came on time I couldn’t have asked for anything else great service. This movie is good it answered some questions about how the x-men came to be. But it also raised some questions because in a movie previously. If like me you like science fiction you’ll already know what I mean about the grandfather paradox if you don’t I’m sorry it would take too long to explain. There was also a nice 5-10 minuet guest appearance with Huge Jackman which I believe leads to the beginning to the first movie of the franchise and it also explains his thing for Jean.A good movie all around

Solid film, really enjoyed it.
Good movie overall, good story depth with several of the characters, especially Magneto. The only thing i wasn't keen on was the look of Apocalypse, there were too many prosthetics and it just didn't look as good as it could have been, I think it would have been better if they'd brought him to life using the same methods that Marvel/Disney and Josh Brolin brought Thanos to life in The Avengers, especially considering they are of similar stature and look in the comics and the legendary 90's cartoon series.

A strong end to the trilogy
Days of Future Past was the first X-Men film that left me completely cold, so I approached this one with fairly low expectations. However, I needn't have worried, as this was a return to form. You should know what to expect from this franchise by now, so if you're a fan, this is unlikely to disappoint.
