Nourison India House Blue 8' x 10'6" Area-Rug, Traditonal, Persian, Bed Room, Living Room, Dining Room, Kitchen, Easy-Cleaning, Non Shedding, (8' x 11')

I purchased three of these rugs, 2- 2'x10' runners, and one 8'x10.5' oblong. These rugs are very attractive and I have enjoyed the way they look in my home but the incessant shedding has been frustrating. I had to vacuum every couple of days to stay on top of the fur bunnies in corners and along the baseboards and the canister on my shark vacuum was chocker-block full x2. I now vacuum weekly and my corners are still thick with wool fibers, I am seriously looking into buy new synthetic non-shedding rugs. Unfortunate because they are very nice looking and feel nice underfoot (good thickness).

I bought this a year ago, and I love it ~ it's absolutely gorgeous! The colors are beautiful, it really changed the feel of the living room, and it's thick and cushy underfoot (I put a pad under it, I think it was 1/4" thick). But a year later, I have to admit it's still shedding, which can be annoying. The floors and corners near the rug have their own special version of dust, which is fibers from the rug. Little fibers get stuck in my socks, maybe it's the texture/weave of the socks I wear, but I usually have shoes or slippers on anyway. Bottom line: it's beautiful and the room is so much nicer with this rug, so a slight difference in vacuuming is worthwhile!

This is a terrific rug, especially for the price!! It does shed when you vacuum for several months but that’s typical of wool rugs in general. Thick and soft to walk on. Very satisfied! Love the color, BUT if you want a true gray then this might not work for you. It has a very very very slight bluish Gray teal as the main background color but it’s a fabulous color!! I actually have the runner in my bathroom and love it so much that I bought a 9x12 of this same India House rug in my living room, and then I also bought Nourison JAZ03 Navy for my adjacent dining space. IMHO they look awesome together!! BTW - Nourison JAZ03 Navy is more of a charcoal than a navy. (Whoever names Nourison rug colors has a different eye for labeling color... or else cataracts, because what they call navy is a really more of a blued charcoal!!)

This rug is gorgeous and just the look I wanted. It is thick under foot - looks and feels more expensive than it is. However, after a year, this rug is still shedding terribly. I can vacuum on one day, and there will be little tumbleweeds all over the rug next day. If you are set to vacuum daily, then by all means, this is the rug for you. If not, perhaps choose another rug.

Freaking gorgeous. Can’t believe they are selling for this price. I was worried about the color-but background is a perfect combination of an earthy blue with some blue grey wool mixed in the background that gives it depth. Other colors are cream, beige brown and another shade of grey. If “griege” is a color you love, you’ll love this. Just perfect neutral, warm colors. I generally like light and airy, and this has enough cream around border to keep it from being too dark. I’m tempted to buy another at this price point and how much I love it. I got the 8x10 and the pattern is large scale.Update: I’ve seen people complain about shedding (and it getting everywhere). Well.... that’s what wool carpets do.... it goes away after a while and if you’re good about vacuuming You can speed it up. Had mine about 6 1/2 months and it barely sheds anymore. Take those comments from other people with a grain of salt- they may be used to carpets made of other materials. Wool is the best you can buy, and it sheds at first. And at this price? Amazing.

Nourison India House I75Just so pleased with this rug! I ordered the small 2x3 as a sample, something decorator sites suggested to minimize return shipping cost. I'll just stick it in front of an entry door. I then ordered the 5x8 and the 8x 10, as I have a family room with dining area. The colors have an overall slate blue appearance, but there's a hint of tealish green, as well as grays, browns, sage, tan, beige. There is no gold color in the rug. The smaller rug seems softer to my feet, but both rugs are comfortable. It's probably 3/4" thick...some light shedding. I ordered the Mohawk felt pads to put under them, which haven't arrived yet. I have spent hours shopping for just the right rug...and Amazon beat the price of everyone who stocks this rug. Hope this helps!Feb16, 2017: Just a little update. This rug sheds more than any rug I have ever had before. I now only vacuum it with a bagless vacuum cleaner, and I have to empty it at least twice to finish both rugs. It's making me rethink the 10x14 rug I need to buy for a different room. Maybe I should look for a nylon rug, sigh. It is still looking good, still looks new, and it is in a heavy traffic area. So there's that.

I have had two Nourison Heritage Hooked wool rugs for at least 25 years. We have had them cleaned several times and they always come back looking like new. I couldn't find a hooked rug that I liked as much as my old ones, but I sought out the Nourison brand and found this rug on Amazon. I ordered the 5 X 7 first and was so impressed with the quality and ridiculously low price, that I ordered this one for our living room. It is warm and inviting and feels wonderful underfoot. It is a beautiful rug and truly a bargain. In my opinion, there is nothing like a wool pile rug for comfort and guaranteed long wear! Thank you Nourison and Amazon for making these available.

I purchased a rug just like this several years ago and paid a lot more for it, even on sale. It lasted through a few years of us walking over it, a cat lounging and playing on it, and two years of a new dog. It was getting some bare spots (both cat and dog licking it!) and I wanted to replace it. So, I tried to find it again from the retailer, to no avail. So, I thought I’d look on Amazon for something comparable to replace it. Imagine my surprise to find the exact same style and color, for a third of the price! I love it because of the neutral colors, which are just as pictured. The description says blue, but it also has a hint of green.
