Recommended for Students and Instructors – An Excellent Guide!
This is yet another book in Nathan Clark’s excellent series of programming books. As I have noted in my reviews of other Clark’s books, he has the ability to take a complex subject and make it easy to understand. That ability continues to show in this book on PLC programming using Ladder Logic and the RSLogix 500 environment. It covers all the key elements of this topic, from basics to more granulated topics like Memory Addressing, Timers Counters, and Integers, and then illustrates the concepts by providing practical examples. Overall, PLC Programming Using RSLogix 500: A Practical Guide to Ladder Logic and the RSLogix 500 Environment is an outstanding guide for students who want to learn about this topic on their own or for instructors who are looking for a suitable textbook.

A book technicians need to have in their library
I have RA quick reference books, and completed their reading courses over the years. Nathan’s book series add to your knowledge base, and uses plainer English to get a clearer understanding of the instructions, and how best to use them. The book is a quick read, and organized in a way for me to flip through and get answers while at my desk solving problems with ladder logic currently in use at my facilities. Thank you Nathan and Sarah

Informative and Easy To Use
These have always been very informative and easy to use guides, which I've appreciated above all else when it comes to my software. I'm not a person who does a lot of programming, so I really liked that the book goes through the steps, explains the issues I can run into, and gives plenty of examples. As an FYI, the book covers programming principles, interfacing with RS-Logix, Basics of Ladder Logic Programming, Memory Addressing, RSLogix Program Instructions, Timers and Counters and Integers, Math Functions, Peripheral Devices, and Practical Examples, which is the part I really appreciated the most.

Great book but print quality is a little off
The books are great source of information for someone wanting to start programming PLC's. I only problem I have is the Images that are in the book. I looks like screen shots, and they are awful. I cant seem to read them very well.I have put two pictures in this review, one of them is at 10 times the original, and one is two times the original. As you look at them it seems to be blurry.

Informative and detailed instructions
I just want to share my appreciation for having the opportunity to read your book. Although I've only been an electrician for the past 10yrs doing installation and terminations, I look forward to jumping into my new career as a PLC programmer. While it will require much study and practice on my end. Books like yours will definitely provide me with the right knowledge, helping me abundantly on my new journey, thank you.
