Wholly game changer batman
Or should I say sock changer? The Doff n Donner (off n onner) is an incredible device to assist putting on socks and taking them off. It is extremely easy to use, and what amazed me was how quickly and painlessly I could put compression socks on with it. I highly recommend this for anyone using compression socks. This one is great quality, and reasonably priced.

This is a must-have for anyone caring for someone who uses compression socks
After struggling with my mother's compression socks and researching various options, I decided to bite the bullet and buy the Doff 'n Donner product. This really makes the chore of putting on the compression socks and removing them a lot easier. My mother commented that the process no longer hurts like it did when I was struggling to get the socks over her heel. Watch the online video to get an idea how to use it. Once you do it a few times, it is pretty easy. You should make sure to note the restrictions on leg measurements since it is not intended for very large legs.I am not sure how realistic it would be for an older person to use this alone, but it works great when an aide is involved. The only thing I wish was different was the pricing. It is considerably more expensive than other options which tend to be 1/4 to 1/2 the price. Considering it is a piece of molded plastic with a suction foot and a silicone sleeve, the "almost $100" price tag seems a bit high. I still give it a 5 star rating because it works well and makes the process painless.

Works well
I am new to wearing thigh high compression stockings and it has been a bit of a nightmare learning how to get them on. I finally broke down and spent the money for this item which has made it so much easier. I find it to be expensive but, overall worth it given that it takes the stress out of the application process.

Invaluable, Worth Every Penny but...
My husband is now needing to wear thigh high compression stockings (20/30) both legs every day. He has very wide feet with callouses. I have a bit of arthritis in my hands - nothing that needs attention but they hurt if I do certain things for too long. So putting the stockings on has been next to impossible. I actually gave up one day because I just couldn't do it - my hands hurt from doing it for days in a row and I could not get them over the wide part just below his toes. The Doff n' Donner pack has been invaluable. I will not tell you it's as simple an painless as all that! It still takes a push to get it over the part below his toes and there is a learning curve. The nurse showed us how to use it but I haven't watched the videos. It does not take a half hour to put them on now and my hands don't hurt all the time. The best tips I can give are: Make sure you have the stocking rolled all the way to where the toe opening is showing on the outside of the cuff. And if you are using stockings longer than the stand, as you roll the cuff up the stand, stop and pull it and the stocking back down to the bottom so you have more room to roll. By the time I have it rolled up, I have a few inches of the post showing still.I didn't want to spend $100. And the nurse said it will only last a couple years. But after trying it out at the doctor's office, I bit the bullet and bought it. It truly is worth every penny.I know I'm going back and forth here but bear with me. The stand is supposed to suction to the floor. That doesn't work at all so I hold it between my feet. Surely someone could get creative with it but we haven't bothered. At first I could not see how this would not last for a good long time but after a while now, I get it. The stand is plastic so I imagine you could break it if you tried but otherwise I think it should last forever. The cuff part is the part that will wear out! That's why they sell it separately for $50 (as of today). Honestly, I don't really understand why the cuff will wear out but I can feel it and see it already. It doesn't retain its shape quite the same. The stockings now push in on the middle of the cuff making it just a tad more difficult to put on. I have a feeling it will only last a year or so. STILL I say it is worth every penny.

Takes practice, not always 100%
This is a great tool for putting on compression socks, We had been shown in the doctor's office how to use it and upon receiving did not even watch the video (though I'm sure we should).I read negative reviews where the heel did not go completely over the foot, it doesn't always but it's at least close and takes very little effort to get the foot of the sock fitting properly then it's just a matter of sliding the sock up.Our first thought when we looked this up on Amazon, was that it was very expensive, but after using we wouldn't be without it.

Time For A Reality Check
I just bought this doff n donner with the very high hopes that I would be able to put on my compression stockings myself. I am fairly young and have good upper body strength so thank God I can still handle this myself. It is a really ingenious concept, but let's get realistic people with lymphedema swell real bad sometimes, and I have stage 3. I am using this in the morning when i am not as swollen. When I roll the rubber ball down to the bottom of the stocking on the cone, and then roll it off the cone and go to put my real big swollen foot/ankle into the stocking my foot won't fit in the stocking. I'm sitting here struggling and sweating now for half an hour and it won't fit. I watched the video and they have a slim woman who obviously doesn't have any noticeable signs of lymohedema putting her stockings on. Lets get realistic and show someone on your video who truly suffers with this dreadful disease trying to use this thing. In all fairness, unless it's operator error, it won't work if you have lymphedema past the beginning stage. For now I would say don't waste your money. I will update my review if it is operator error because I truly do want this to work.
