My daughter wore this hat for a solid week on a recent beach vacation, and she didn't complain at all. She wore it in the sun, in the pool, and just about everywhere. She looked cute and the hat stayed put on her head pretty well. There is a chin strap with a sliding rubber piece that cinches it under her chin.
