Quality at a fair price. This is the fourth 1791 holster that I own and all are consistently of high quality. They fit the firearm properly and hold it securely. I put my j frame revolver in a plastic bag and put it in the holster for 48 hours and break-in was done. I wear it daily and it conceals well. . .doesn't print on my shirt hardly at all. Now if I could just find one for a three inch j-frame.

I have a Smith & Wesson 637. I’ve tried several holsters from other manufacturers and none of them work satisfactory. When I got this gun from 1791 I followed their directions by placing my revolver in a plastic bag and putting it into the holster. I left it overnight. After removing the plastic bag, I found that the revolver fits like a glove. I could not be happier with the quality of the leather and the way it fits. Added BENEFIT is that this holster holds the revolver very close to my side and there’s very little imprinting. I would highly recommend this holster.

Very stiff. I had to do the exercise where you stretch it to fit. I had to stretch it by using some dowel rods and rags and let it sit for a few days. I kept testing it and moving the rags and dowel rods till I had to where I wanted it. Its a nice looking well made product but just be prepared to do some work. It is not going to fit out of the box.

For a non-custom made holster, this one is excellent. I bought the holster for a S&W J-frame to use with my Model 63 and Model 317 for range and camping use. The new holster is tight but quickly breaks in to a snug retentive fit. Comfort is great. The holster came moulded to fit on the belt and it fits nicely to my 4-o’clock position with my 1.5” wide belt. I would have liked a little more forward cant, but again, for being a non-custom product, this is very nice. Draws were smooth and easy once I broke the holster in and re-holstering is effortless. The extra stiffening panel added helps keep the holster open and ready to re-holster at any time. Fit and finish is great. Stitches are even and there are no unfinished edges anywhere. Not much bad I can say about this holster. It feels like a very well made product and I anticipate it will last for many years.

Looks good and perfect fit for my S&W 638. It is well made with very thick/sturdy leather! Would recommend to others.

This is an excellent holster, very worth the money! Well fitting and great quality, almost like it was custom made for my S&W J-Frame. I carry it everyday and it’s very comfortable as well. And super easy to break in with a plastic bag over gun, holstered, and left for 24 hours. Be safe.

My third 1791 holster and well built like the rest. I don’t know why or how it got started but this holster WILL fit the Taurus 856. Fits my 856 ultra lite with VZ grips great.
