De Cecco Semolina Pasta, Small Shells No.52, 1 Pound (Pack of 5)

This is very good pasta. I use Amazon's subscribe and save a lot due to not having a car, too hard to haul stuff home via the bus, so, it works out excellent for me. Usually I use Barilla pasta, but can't find the small shells anywhere anymore. Saw these here and ordered, taste great, seem to have a nice full texture to them. I make my macaroni salad with small shells, not medium shells! These are perfect! Thank you! I can imagine they would work well in some soups too. Will continue to order them on subscribe and save as long as they are offered!

The product size for small seashells was much smaller than I expected or could use so I’m saving for a soup. I did like the product because I cooked a few to test, definitely a good buy, just too small for my salad. I the they should consider relabeling to mini seashells too.

I love this brand and size pasta but the way it was shopped was horrible. Boxes were all smashed. Came in a bag, should have been in a box with some protection.

Overpriced - you can buy small shells at a grocery store for significantly less. Other than that, the product itself is fine.

Makes a quick dish with any choice of sauces. I like mine with cream and a bit of garlic butter. Makes a tasty Quick poor man’s Alfredo in ten minutes. When I was growing up my mom made it with just milk so the cream is an upgrade and adding in a little butter and garlic suits my adult palette for the perfect comfort food. Cooks perfect to eight minutes. Pasta has nice flavor. Not sharp. Semolina pasta is the best and this is a good value. Plus I can’t find it where I live so I am grateful to order on Amazon.

I'll admit it... I eat a lot of pasta! Over the last year or so, De Cecco has become my favorite brand, and in that time, the small shells have become my favorite style! It always cooks up perfectly with just the right amount of 'tooth' and you just can't beat the price! I often eat pasta instead of bread so the exchange of one carb for another works well for me. I tend to cook up a full box at a time, bagging the whole batch in a large Ziplock and tossing it in the fridge for use all week. These small shells are just the right size and shape for mac & cheese or macaroni salad and it is wonderful added to a bowl of soup or served under chili. Bottom line is I'll be buying this product, 5 boxes at a time for as long as Amazon offers it!

I disliked the fact that I purchased 10 boxes of DeCecco small shells and all of them have an expiration date o July 2025 - roughly 5 months from now
