Really nice robe
Excellent quality. Certainly not the least expensive robe on Amazon, but worth it. The soft, relatively heavy weight will be super comfortable on a cold NH winter’s night by the wood stove! The dark forest green color is really nice!

Perfect replacement for my old terry cloth robe. Very thick, soft terry cloth, and well made. Very happy with this robe.

good value, comfy and well made
solid stitching, good material, good cut. Only wish is that there was another set of belt loops. The belt sits a little low on my hips and it would be nice to have a higher set of loops.

Warm and Comfy
This is second best robe I have owned. The robe is terry cloth on inside and outside, so basically a thick cotton towel. It is the warmest robe I have owned. Absorbency is excellent. The collar comes up high which is nice for warmth, but you have to physically move it to shave. Size is generous; I have a 36" waist and a large would be fine for up to 40". The cotton is not as soft as some towels or robes I have had before, but is fine. Wash it twice before wearing or you will shed everywhere. The downside of the robe to me is the terry cloth on the outside. It catches hair, crumbs, etc. I prefer my old robe which was smooth on outside and terry on inside. The other downside is the bulk of this robe. It is too big to pack for travel. I gave it 5 stars because it is excellent for what it is, but I will probably buy a different style next time.

The "Rough" Robe I've been looking for!
I have had several robes over the years, but they've all been too soft and not absorbent.I wanted a towel-like robe; I personally like rougher fabrics like wool blankets or baja blankets. There were cheaper options on Amazon, so I went through the reviews. When I filtered the reviews on this robe to 1-star, everyone was complaining about how rough it was - music to my ears lol.Now that I have the robe, I use it everyday after a morning polar plunge and an evening shower, it's absorbent enough to put on directly out of the water.Upon arriving, I immediately washed and dried it (risky i know), but I ordered a XL Tall (I'm 6'3" and 200lbs) and wanted to get the shrink over with, as I didn't want to fear drying it if I had to down the road. It fits great, for me, maybe a bit big, but I like it like that. One thing to note is that this robe is thiccc and heavy. Probably not for summer time, but perfect for Boston winters.Very happy with the purchase. Thanks!

Really Nice, Heavy Robe
First Impressions: This is a really heavy robe, which is what I wanted. To put this in context, my old, XL Hudson Bay North Robe weighs 1.1 kg (it likely weighed somewhat more when it was new, ten years ago). This XL one weighs 1.8 kg, and it is noticeably thicker. This is not a soft, "plush" robe; think cotton bath sheet. Undoubtedly, a white one would be a tad softer. I've no doubt it will soften with repeated washings, just as my old robe did. Out of the package, it was leaving bits of navy lint everywhere, until we put it in the dryer on air fluff. There was some slight odour when we took it out of the package, which dissipated gradually.I'm 6' 4" and 210 pounds. The XL fits nicely, with plenty of overlap. However, being so tall, the hem comes to just below my knee, not my calf. The sleeves come to my thumb joint, which is a tad long, however, I'm sure they will shrink a bit on washing and be perfect. If you're shorter than I am, you'll need to turn the cuffs up. Incidentally, the cuffs are double-thickness for about 5"; the extra weight makes the sleeves hang nicely. My wife liked it so much that we've ordered another, smaller one for her. Here are some key dimensions of the XL that might help others choose their size. Yoke (between shoulder seams) - 24". Length (collar seam to hem) - 50". Sleeve (pit to cuff) - 20". Hem width (circumference) - 66"Update: We decided to wash it to see what would happen to it while it was still guaranteed. We put it in a cool wash with a few other towels and microfiber cloths, expecting to see navy blue run over everything. To our great surprise, there was no bleeding. We dried on low, per the instructions. There was considerable shrinkage. The yoke shrank an inch, the length two inches, the sleeve a half inch, and the hem 1.5 inches. This is about what we expected, and if anything it fits better, especially the sleeves. The fabric may be a bit softer after washing, we're not sure, but it certainly isn't rougher. There was a whole handful of soft, short-fibre cotton fluff in the dryer filter. There was so much fluff that we thought we may have lost some fabric down the drain of the washer. So, we weighed it after it was totally dry, and it didn't lose any appreciable weight. There is no longer any odour from the dye in the fabric. The bottom line remains the same. If you want a heavy, kind of rough texture robe, like a thick towel, this is it.We'll update again if anything untoward happens.

LOVE IT!
As a die-hard post-shower terry-robe user, I purposely ordered a men's Large for myself. I'm 5'8" and a size 10, and this fits with lots of cozy room to wrap and spare. Very nice quality and very absorbent. Definitely recommend! :)
