Material and workmanship are quite good in this lightweight cap. I walk daily in sunny Nevada and have worn this cap about a half-dozen times so far. Time will tell how it holds up to sweat, grime and repeated washings, but my initial impression is positive. I wanted to replace an old Army foraging cap I'd worn for half a century, which was still serviceable but misplaced. This material is about half the weight, seems quite durable, but the overall construction is more delicate, as if it were made for a more genteel consumer. It feels like it will shed water, but alas, we're going through a drought right now.

The adjustable clasp was sharp metal. So it immediately scratched my head. I try hats on backwards for adjusting. I filed it down but, no not any better. So me and my pliars went to work. And clasp free. Attached velcro. And I'm happy. Will test this dry quick likely tomorrow.
