I had a different brand of protector that I used with my last MacBook that was quite thick. This one doesn't get in the way of my case and I barely notice it's edges. Biggest recommendation is that you apply with soft cloth. As I was pushing the cover down I accidentally snapped my nail along cover. There is now a slightly noticeable scratch on the protector. This was user issue of course, the application was quite easy. Make sure to secure the adhesive around the track pad before securing the larger sections. This will help make sure that protector doesn't pop up.
