Oil Pastel Step by Step

good book and lot of pictures but not enough explanations.you should have enough experience with oil pastels before attempting the projects in the book.

Have used other media but never oil pastels to create a painting with. This book was just what I needed. There are 2 pages on techniques which was enough for me, followed by 10 step-by-step demonstrations. I have used other media but wanted to find out what was possible with oil pastels and this book was enough to show me. If you're looking for a book that covers how to paint (composition, tone etc etc) then this isn't it, but if you already paint and simply want to know what oil pastels can do and how you can create paintings with them, I can recommend it.

A very small book, lacking in information for the beginner. The projects in the book require a high level of drawing skill and always several other items as well as pastels. Some useful information, but I've read much better free guides online.

Smaller than I expected for the price. It shows you how to create different pictures but doesn't give any technical information or tips on how to work less messy.

Very good condition. Good value for money and arrived from Europe in very quick time. Happy.
