BLACKHAWK C.Q.D Mark II Tactical Knife

I have admired this knife since it was released but have been unwilling to pay the Loester price. When I saw this on Amazon I had to jump on it.The knife met all my expectations. Workmanship and materials are of the highest level with clean machining on the handle and precise grinding on the blade. It arrived sharp. This quality of this knife is far beyond the purchase price matching some of the best knives in my collection.It is not a small and light knife, but a rugged work knife that inspires confidence. I would recommend it without qualification.

The other review for this knife was less than flattering, so I was hesitant to pull the trigger on this one. I am pleasantly surprised. The fit and finish is on par with Taiwanese made spyderco knives. The lock-up is rock solid. The relief edge was done quite well, but was not very sharp out of box. That being said, it sharpened easily and is holding its edge well. All in all its a solid proxy for the real thing. My only complaints are that the out of box edge was less than impressive and the price point. This knife has a street price ~120.00 dollars. At that price point its not worth it. Try to catch it on sale if you can.

Get this- Blackhawk took MOD's knife specs and are making it in Taiwan. $137.00 for a made in Taiwan knife! All I can say about that is WTF!
