You could, but I don't think they are that fasionable and they are actually quite hard to break in. The shoe's upper portion doesn't have much cushioning. Also, as far as ankle mobility, wearing these is like wearing low top chuck taylor converses. So to answer your question, you could wear them as everyday-wear shoes, and it provides ankle mobility to kick. On a side note, you can actually kick with any shoe, even boots, you just gotta know how. I did tae kwon do and I actually use this for kickboxing from time to time. If you want them for kicking get em a half to a full size smaller because you want them to hug your feet. You don't want to be sliding around/slippage within the shoe on your base foot as you're kicking. Personally, I wouldn't look to these shoes if I got into a street fight. The outsoles won't give enough traction on concrete/gravel/asphalt and are not that flexible. Try getting minimalist running shoes. I suggest puma faas 100 or 300 or maybe asics onitsukas.

Wrongly packed

Lovely shoes for taekwondo but I ordered a size 5 UK - they came in a box labelled 5 UK but inside the shoes were size 5 US, 4.5 UK and hence too small. So I'll get another pair which will hopefully be packed correctly.

# Misleading

I have owned a pair before... and this martial arts taekwondo is NOT the same. This item seems like a copy and is not genuine (the is missing.)the seller is misleading. The item discribtion shows the on the adidas sm ii low cut.This means: when the martial arts logo is not no the trainers it is not genuine leather... it is faux leather.genuine leather is made from animal hides, such as cattle, buffalo or oxen. Faux leather is made from a plastic base and is then treated with wax, dye or polyurethane to create the colour and texture.PS. if i had known it was faux leather i would have NEVER made the order. what a disappointment!
