Ear Pads Replacement for Beats Dr. Dre Solo HD Wired/Solo 1.0 Wired Headphone by MMOBIEL - Memory Foam and Protein PU Ear Pad Cushions - On-Ear Earpads Replacement - Black

Firstly these are compatible with the Beats Solo 1 NOT the later versions, this is shown on the compatability table above but from some earliers reviews then either this wasnt availble or wasnt clear for some purchases. The earphones are a good replacement and fit the Solo version 1 however I found it a faff to install. Normally Youtube is my saviour for things like this but the only video for the version one I could find suggests a twist of the earcushions will release them, this did not work for me.Eventually after failing to twist them off and the video isnt clear which way to twist even, I peeled of the soft leather of the ear pads to reveal the plastic ring underneath which locks into the headphones. I carefully snipped the plastic ring between the locking points and was finally able to twist each seperate part off the headphones. The reason that the earlier twisting didnt work then became clear as the parts are glued to the headphones with contact glue. After scraping off the glue the new earcushions twisted on the headphones after a few attempts, there is an arrow on both parts which should be lined up but frankly doesnt help much . Not sure how secure there are now, I guess I will break out the glue if needed, Dr Dre obviously thought that was the way.

Total miss, there is no adhesive part & completely wrong size!
