Baby Manual: Conception to 2 Years (Haynes Owners Workshop Manual)

A friend of mine has the first edition of this book, and it really spoke to me. The classic Haynes' style was very accessible, and even though I had no intention of ever reading a parenting book, it inspired me to buy this.This second edition has all the same, useful, information (perhaps even better information). But I feel that something was lost in translation. Maybe the grass is always greener, but it lacks some of my friend's earlier edition's charm.This is a good reference book. It's not a gospel, but it has been useful to me.

Useful guide for daddy! Was much clearer about some things than most other baby books, because it explains things assuming you don't know much about the subject to start with.

I bought this for my son more as a gimmicky stocking filler for Christmas but both he and his girlfriend have found it really easy to read through and to use as a reference book. Laid out in the same style as a car haynes manual it puts a different spin on more female based baby books and also give a balanced view from both the male and female perspective.Quite a good find for it being more of a tongue in cheek present!!

Great gift for my partner, and we have both found it really informative! It’s fantastically written, and so cleverly worded! Has given us both a laugh!

This is a good read, and much better than some of the books I can see my wife reading (and enjoying to be fair) but I struggle to get the flow of each section. It may be more useful when baby arrives and I can use it as a reference, which is after all what the traditional Haynes manuals are for anyway. I'll be back to update if I think it gets better!
