NYDJ Women's Ami Skinny Legging Denim Jeans

Let me count the ways...This is my first pair of NYDJ jeans, but definitely not my last! Here are the things I love about these jeans:* the fit is perfect - especially thigh-to-waist ratio - I appreciate that the waist is cut for a more mature figure with a few extra curves* they're still sexy!* they don't stretch out as the day goes on - no constant tugging as I walk!* the color is cool* very nice qualityAnd yes, I went a size down as instructed (though I was skeptical), no problemo!These jeans are, in a word, awesome!

Why is shopping for jeans traumatic after the age of 50? I am 5'6 and 160 lbs. I usually wear a size 10 in Levi's pull-on skinny jeans. I am a classic apple shape so most of my girth is in my stomach. This generally means that I struggle finding a good fit. If it fits in the stomach, the jeans are too baggy in the rear end, hips, thighs. Per the recommendation, I bought the NYDJ one size smaller. They arrived 5 days ago and I haven't taken them off. They are not skin tight, but there is no sag anywhere and the waist is comfortable. Also, I don't have to hike up my pants every time I get out of chair. I highly recommend and have just ordered a 2nd pair.

Mind the size chart! Definitely size down as instructed. I've gained a little weight and I'm probably at the upper end of size 12 right now -- I sized down to a 10 and the fit is great.I have an hourglass shape but carry some pudge at the bottom of my belly, so normally high rise jeans look awful on me and create a front butt situation... no one wants that. These jeans come up to my natural waist like a traditional high rise jean and they suck everything firmly IN. The bottom of my belly disappeared into my body when I zipped them up, and my butt looked great in them. These are just extremely flattering and I'm only sorry I haven't tried NYDJ sooner.The fit through the legs is nice and skinny down to the ankles. i was a little worried the ankles would be too wide, but nope. Length is good too. I'm 5'8" with a long torso and not so long legs, and these jeans are a good length to wear with either heels or flats. Very happy with them, and even more happy with the price on Amazon.My one complaint is that in person the color of the jeans is the tiniest bit darker than on the screen, but it's also more uniform all over the jeans which I prefer. I would call this a medium denim. Will be really nice in the Spring, but can also be worn year around. You can't go wrong with these!

Out of all my NYDJ jeans, the Ami (Alchemy wash) is my favorite fit. It's figure hugging, but in a good way that smoothes things out and doesn't cause unruly squishing above and below the waistband.The labels and descriptions are often confusing on different NYDJ styles---mine are marked "future fit denim" and I'm not sure if that's different from the regular Ami denim.FYI---the Alchemy wash is a lot less "worn" than I thought. There is barely any whiskering to speak of---it shows up in the product photo more than it does in real life.The Ami is the skinniest fit I own so far--they fit like leggings all the way down to the ankle. However, unlike the colored NYDJ denim, which is thinner and clingier, they don't give you the dreaded camel toe, so you can safely tuck your shirt in!

Jeans are a perfect fit. I am a size 16 in jeans. The jeans had sufficient stretch AND hold throughout the day. Also, the material was medium weight and solid enough such that my dreaded cellulite was not accentuated. Furthermore, these jeans are treated with a special procedure that rebuffs light dust and dirt that white clothes are known to attract. This is my first time ever wearing white jeans that still looked fresh after hours of wear. Hope this helps.

These fit well, were a very goof quality fabric, looked great from the front, but unfortunately they flattened my rear end. I don't have a flat booty by any means, but like so many other jeans I have tried, you would think I had a pancake butt! For the money these cost, I couldn't justify keeping them when I wasn't happy with my rear view. I sent them back and after some research ordered the NYDJ Alina skinny with Uplift. That was exactly the fit I needed for a nice, round booty!

NYDJ Jeans are a favorite of mine. I am 66 years old, 5'5" tall & weigh 145 pounds. The jeans/leggings are nice. The length is good, in the winter, can tuck into boots and in the summer can be rolled up. I might like the waist a little higher, but I’m high waisted. They stay up and I don’t have to pull up or wear a belt. The fabric content could have a little more cotton in it, but the stretch works because they are leggings.

Excellent fit! I am a size 8 and I got my size. I didn't size down as recommended. I find that the Ami NYDJs are true to size. Everyone has a different body type though, so someone else may find that sizing down works for them. The jeans is really stylish and I especially love the design on the back pockets. The picture doesn't do it justice. It's a very elegant design- can be dressed up or down. Overall, I am very happy with my purchase (I was lucky to purchase it at $45 when it went on sale over the holidays)

NYDJ is always my goto skinny leg jeans and these were no exception. Love the colour and fit. As usual I wear them with a stretchy belt since NYDJ waists tend to drop down my hips on me but I am used to that.I'm 5'2" and wear a size 12/14 pant so I ordered a size 12 in petite. Great for work with a nice long or tunic top.

The fit is a bit snugger than blue jeans of the same make and model. Fabric is different - less stretch. Still a nice fit though.

They pinch badly at the waist and don't seem to relax like the blue jeans in exactly the same cut.

Soft fabric. Comfortable. But I do need longer legs. Will have to get shortened

I have two pairs of the Ami skinny jeans in size 4 from the last two years which are longer and super comfortable to wear. These Ami black skinnies in size 4 were easily two sizes too tight and two inches shorter.
