No, It is made with thread. I daresay it could be sprayed with a waterproofing spray. I ironed on then stitched too for added security.

The patches are 4cm in width and 3cm in height. I have found when first ironed on they stick well but eventually start to loosen off. I have attached with a few stitches now to make sure the patch stays on. Lovely patches.

Wanting to attach to a blanket, do they wash well when iron on or would you advise sewing if washing often?

I sewed them on as well as they were for patches on the knees of some jogging bottoms of my grandson. They seemed to stick well but thought I would be safe as didn’t want them to come off as they would be washed frequently.

They can be ironed . Preheat the iron to about 150℃/302℉, place the cloth in a suitable position, and cover it with a piece of cotton cloth (to prevent it from being burned by high temperature)，Sweaters, leather, mesh, smooth or rough fabrics are recommended to be sewn with needles.
