**Q: Will these work in beer?**
A: Yes... any liquid I guess.

**Q: How long does it take to “grow”?**
A: Approximately 10-15 minutes. The capsule dissolves faster in hot water.

**Q: In the description when it says: "Dry them out and they revert back to the original dimensions.", what are the original dimensions?**
A: They don’t revert back to anything and they look like nothing when they expand :p

**Q: If I leave these to grow in a glass of water, can I still drink the water afterwards?**
A: I can't imagine why you want to.  I'm sure the manufacturers weren't taking it into effect that someone might put one of these in their mouth or drink the water.  Although, if they are toxic, why would you want your child playing with them?  As I mentioned in my earlier review,  I ouldn't get the things to "grow."  They were the same size in 3 days of soaking as they were when I put them in the water.  Definite waste of money.

I bought these capsules this past Christmas when I was looking for gifts that were small enough for my toddler (he was 17 months old in December) to fit in his advent calendar, but not tiny little toys that he could either choke on or would end up getting stepped on by adults in our living room. I had put a poll on my Instagram of what I should get for him because I was really struggling to fill up 24 squares of gifts for a child this young (if I had my way, it literally would just have been berries or something but we have this beautiful wooden advent calendar that unfortunately fits almost nothing). Someone suggested these so I went for it as it seemed an easy and inexpensive way to fill the thing up. I cut up the package and split them up into groups of two throughout the calendar (what, did you think I was able to come up with TWENTY FOUR unique gifts for each day of December?!). He obviously didn't get what they were at first, but we used them at bathtime. While he loved the sponges once they inflated, the only criticism I have of this product is that the capsules take an awfully long time to open when they are submerged in water. Maybe it's not that long if you have older kids that you can use these to teach them the virtue of patience, but for a toddler who barely understands the ways of the world, he just kept picking them out of the tub, therefore lengthening the process in which they opened up. Once they reached their full metamorphosis, he did enjoying play with them in the tub, so for the value of this item, I'm going to say it's a win.
