FANTASTIC plants
I LOVE my nightshade plants so much, one of them has been absolutely thriving and finally put out its first bud this week. I’m so proud of her. It took a veryyy long time to germinate (I soaked seeds in cold water in my fridge for at least a month) but since then they’ve been growing wonderfully.

I look forward to the results.
I hope others won't be discouraged by there seeds not growing. The seeds will take a lot more time, no seeds grow the same. I followed the directions but they were still not growing plus the seeds got lost in the soil lol. I'm down to three cause I lost the other ones in the soil but the last 3 are doing good I'm using a different method so it's doing a lot better then my first attempt. This one will be a lot slower then the others but we'll worth it! 😊

Plants died once seedlings germinated
The seeds did germinate but once they started to grow they all died. So I am disappointed.

Perfect addition to my poison garden
I’ve only been gardening for 2 years, so I don’t have much expertise. I had my heart set on a poison garden this year. I planted the seeds in a pot the first week of April and had my first blooms two weeks ago. When I planted the seeds I watered daily and kept it in full sun. Once leaves formed I did morning sun, afternoon shade. I live in a very hot climate in the summer (110° heat index isn’t uncommon for us), so now that it’s established it lives under the front porch in the shade with a lot of indirect light. It’s thriving there! I did over water after it was established and had to trim some of the lower leaves that developed dark spots. It bounced back well. I spray the nightshade with neem oil every two weeks just to keep pests from taking over. I would absolutely buy again!

Patience
February 2023, I carefully stratified the seeds and tried germinating for 10 weeks with no luck. I gave up and mixed the soil in with other seeds and put it outside where it would dry out or get saturated by rain. Lo and behold, 3 months later three plants sprouted. They grew very little and one lost all it's leaves to where only a 1/2" stem was left, even under a grwo light. Finally, I sprayed a little Miracle Grow on them and all three took off. From small, relatively dormant house plants three months ago to very full, beautiful and delicate. One has ten buds that are beginning to flower and the other two can't be far behind. A hell of a lot of work but my patience was rewarded. I love my nightshades.
