BUY IT YOU'LL LOVE IT - JUICE FOR THE HEALTH OF IT!
This my first juicer and I searched all over the Internet for one. Not knowing if this was going to be a passing phase of become an everyday lifestyle change, I decided to buy one around $100.00, juice it to death and buy a more expensive one when the time came.I've been making smoothies forever with a Nutribullet using greens, but wanted to get into juicing. As with most everyone, I watched the movie "Fat, Sick and Nearly Dead" by Joe Cross. I don't need to lose weight, am already Vegan, just wanted to go the extra mile.I chose this model and couldn't be happier. It's easy to put together, easy to clean, big, and my pulp is dry! I have tried putting my pulp through a second time just to see if anything else would come through, but maybe only a dribble - not worth the trouble.I LOVE the dial and if you READ the instructions, you'll see that different fruits and veggies require different settings to get the most juice. A cucumber uses #1, oranges #2, carrots, apples #5. At first I wanted to crank it up to #5 and put them all through - don't do this.I was and cut up all my ingredients first. I set the dial and put the fruits and veggies in according to the settings. I get the best juice ever. I usually make two 32oz juices per day, Joe's Mean Green as my morning juice. The filter basket is hard for me to get off, but easy for me to clean. I clean the outside with a different, larger kitchen brush, rinse that side, then brush the inside of the filter basked with soap, rinse and it's perfectly clean. All other pieces are so easy to rinse and clean. Do not scrub the plastic as you will scratch it.The machine is loud, but that doesn't bother me one bit. The Cuisinart CJE-1000 is heavy duty, won't operate without the clasp on, so easy to use, looks great on my counter, affordable and a fantastic choice. The feeding tube is huge and you won't believe how many whole apples, oranges, cucumbers will go right in.This purchase has not made this a passing phase, but a daily addition to an already healthy lifestyle. I'm 62 and going strong!

Tried 3, Love This One Best
I bought this machine (Cuisinart CJE-1000) first, as I wasn't sure if I would be juicing every day, or if I would give it up once the high of "I'm going to be SO healthy" wore off. Well, it didn't wear off. I love juicing, and have given up supper to juice every evening (except when I go out with friends, of course). I feel so much better the next morning. Sometimes I juice in the mornings as well...but I digress. The machine is easy to set up and use, juices very quickly, and the "leavings" are mostly dry. I've seen plenty of people comment that a masticating juicer will give you more juice. I call BS on that. I just bought an Omega J8006, thinking that hey, I'm juicing every day, so I need a SERIOUS juicer. Also because this Cuisinart will not do greens and wheatgrass. (Just spits most of your greens back into the leavings container.) For juicing vegetables and fruits, this Cuisinart beats the Omega hands down. More juice, more leavings, the leavings were more dry in the Cuisinart basket than the Omega. Way less time to juice. Bigger chunks of produce - for example, I put three full carrots at a time in the Cuisinart. In the Omega, you can only put one, and if it's a big carrot, you need to cut it up first. As if. The Omega rocked out the wheatgrass and spinach (although it took forever putting a few leaves of spinach at a time down the Omega's tiny chute). This Cuisinart has me spoiled. I'm actually thinking about buying a second one, just in case this one ever dies. I've used it for a few months now and still love it like the day I first used it. If you want to do wheatgrass as well, you can always get the Chef's Star manual one. It works pretty well. But if you have dreams of juicing a big salad full of produce every evening and then congratulating yourself on all the nutrients your body just absorbed, you need this one. It's fabulous.
