Yes it is. I highly recommend it! At first I did not believe I could replace the battery the next season but I finally got it to twist apart by using a vise and grips. Just put on to tight by someone. I love this light!

Grab the tip of light, unscrew; loosen. Battery pops out. Reapply top; fasten.

I've done it but dont have mine handy right now. It can be done. Bottom of the bulb/ beginning of shaft. Possibly between the balancer and the end of the shaft of the light.
