I find it easier to remove the eyeshadow (Maybelline and Revlon) from the original cases so I can have everything in one spot. I'm very happy with the purchase and feel it was a great buy for the price. I would definitely recommend. Update: I've purchased a 2nd one so I can sort the colors. I chose it because I wanted something with a mirror. The mirror is a heavy, high-quality glass that provides a true reflection. The exterior dimensions are 6-1/4" x 4". Interior dimensions are 6" x 3-5/8" and about 1/4" deep. It latches and closes very securely. The good thing about this makeup holder is that it is very sturdily made, nice looking and really does a superior job of holding your cosmetics.
