Dickiesgirls Faux Wrap Skort

The skort is cute. The length is good. The size 5 is big in the waist, but that's not unusual for my slender child. The skort seems to be well made and is a sturdy material. We've only worn it and washed it once, but it did not wrinkle, and it seems like it will hold up well.

I give this short 4 stars because it seems well made and the design is very close to what I was looking for. We haven't washed it or wore it yet but I have tried it on my daughter a hand full of times and I am pleased with it.With that being said, the sizing is way off. I knew this might be the case because of other reviews but I took a risk just so I could get an idea of the quality and fit. I don't know if it is because the non-adjustable elastic waist or what but my daughter normally wears a size 5 so I ordered a size 5 and it is way to big. I can pull it way above her waist and still have room left at the waist. Again I knew this might be the case from reading other reviews but I had to see for myself.Since I was happy with the skort I ordered a Size 4 to compare and I just received it and it fit my daughter perfectly! So I would say order a size down from what your child usually wears and you will do just fine.I still stand by my 4 star rating though because we haven't washed the skort yet or used it so I can't attest for its sturdiness. But it looks like it will hold up. I have used dickey products in the past and if this is made the same as adult clothing I think it will last me the whole school year at least.

This is essentially the same review I am writing for all three of these I purchased at the same time. My grand daughter is growing up and needed to wear skorts instead of shorts (her choice), so I decided to buy her a selection of them I found online. All of these skorts were of a good quality and the sizing was just about right on for her. We had to make a few adjustments because of her specific body shape, but overall, the sizing is accurate and the price was right. Some local places want so much more for these since they know you are buying them for school uniforms. With super saver shipping and no tax, I feel I saved a considerable amount of money on these skorts.

My nine year old is skinny; I expected this skort would have some adjustability but it doesn’t have either internal elastic nor a belt loop so too big. But length was good and fabric seemed nice.

I was so sure that the description states it was adjustable waist when I placed my order. I'm very cautious with adjustable waist as my kids are very skinny but somehow their description doesn't state this now.I have purchased Dickies brand before and it was adjustable waist band, hence I thought of buying this brand again.Looking at new reviews I can see that Dickies is inconsistent, sometime they have adjustable waist sometimes they DON'T.I will not buy again due to inconsistency.

This is our second school year selecting the faux wrap skort. We did like the elastic in the smaller sizes better than the zipper that is used for size 7 and up but they fit and wear great. They come out of the dryer looking perfect, no silly pleats to flip over or need ironing. I would not call them lightweight but they are a lot lighter than some of the bulky styles that have a skirt around the backside too; this style is a better choice for the hot weather days we have the first month or so of school. We give it an A+

This ran huge, my daughter wears a size 4-5 in all of her other uniform bottoms but the size 4 in this literally fell off of her. I would guess it fit more like a size 7 or 8.
