SafeRest Waterproof King Size Mattress Protector

This is an excellent mattress protector. It does the job, is easy to wash and fits over the mattress and the foam cushion we use on top of the mattress. It is well made and the elastic and depth of the material used for the sides of the mattress (that holds the protector to the mattress) is the best - you do not have to fight to get it to fit on the mattress. Our pup has diabetes and with diabetes comes extra water going in AND coming out. Our pup has soiled the protector only a few times but, unlike before, it did not reach the foam pad or the mattress. Now, with his diabetes under control the protector is insurance for a rare moment. I recommend this protector.

We purchased the SafeRest Waterproof King Size Mattress Protector to use on our Leopard 40 Catamaran, and it has worked out perfectly. Our bed is an unusual size since it is larger than a queen but smaller than a king and this protector fits it very well. It’s also very easy to put on. You install it just like a fitted sheet, so it goes on quickly and stays securely in place around the mattress. One of the things we really appreciate is how comfortable it is. Unlike some waterproof protectors, it doesn’t make any crunchy or plastic-like noise when you move around. It’s soft and quiet, so it feels just like sleeping on a normal mattress cover. The waterproof feature works exactly as advertised. I accidentally spilled water on the bed, and the mattress underneath stayed completely dry. That alone gives us a lot of peace of mind, especially on a boat where protecting bedding is important. Overall, this is a high-quality mattress protector that is comfortable, quiet, easy to install, and truly waterproof. We’re very happy with it and would absolutely recommend it.

My wife went into labor a year and a half ago and that labor went very quickly....so quickly that she ended up giving birth on our bed in the presence of EMTs. We then went to the hospital where I stayed overnight with my wife and new baby girl. The next day, once things had clamed down, I went home to clean up before they came home. For those who have witnessed or gone through child birth, you know what a mess I arrived to. For those who haven't, suffice to say there are many different types of fluids and a lot of them. Let's just say I was fully expecting to be purchasing a new mattress. To my amazement, once I'd bagged our sheets and this mattress pad, our mattress was perfectly fine. I bought another one immediately and will continue to use this brand as long as it exists. I challenge anyone to put it through a more rigorous test and I'm positive it can stand up to some sweat or your child's pee in the middle of the night. I didn’t actually want a waterproof mattress protector because most of them sleep hot and make that awful plastic crinkling sound. Unfortunately, finding a non-waterproof option was almost impossible, so I decided to give this one a try — and I’m honestly glad I did. The fit is excellent, especially if you have a deeper mattress. It stays in place well and fully covers the sides without struggling to stretch it on. What surprised me most is that I don’t experience any hot spots or heat buildup while sleeping. I wouldn’t call it a “cooling” protector, but unlike many waterproof covers, this one doesn’t trap heat for me, which was my biggest concern. Another huge plus: it does NOT have that cheap plastic feel or noisy crinkly sound when you move around in bed. That alone makes a big difference in comfort. If you want waterproof protection but hate the usual noisy, sweaty feel of most mattress protectors, this one is definitely worth considering.

This is the third time we've purchased this mattress protector, we've now used these on each of our 3 mattresses in our household and we have been quite happy with the results. It is best to under the limitations of these protectors, they won't indefinitely seal out standing liquid, but they will repel small volumes for a while and larger volumes for a short period of time. In the rare circumstances we've needed them to do their job, they have dramatically limited the amount of moisture that made its way through the protector. Again, with reasonable expectations, this protector strikes a nice balance of protection along with comfort. Fits the bed great seems like good quality but no one has peed the bed yet.

I bought this mattress protector because my baby Pug, Neesie Matice, has started her first cycle at 9 months old! I am very pleased with quality, and it seems to have good sleeping quality. It adds a little firmness to my super plush memory foam which is GOOD! It has a basic appearance and was easily washed for the first time as it does have a NEW CHEMICAL smell which is NORMAL for all new products these days so I do recommend trying the protector on your mattress for sizing BEFORE you wash it so if it needs to go back you’re able to get a refund and a larger or smaller size. I found the fit to be bit small for a 14 inch plush memory foam full size, however, it does stay on but kinda misses the sides so an extra inch would have been nice. I’ve only used it one night so we’ll see! I put it under a normal fitted sheet then spread out a fluffy fleece blanket to add warmth and protection being my Pug sleeps with me and always will! Anyway, the protector was easy to install and seemed to hold up after the first wash. I DO RECOMMEND WASHING ON WARM WATER THEN EXTRA LOW DRYING BECAUSE THE WATERPROOFING SEAL CAN BE MELTED IF TOO HIGH A HEAT SETTING IS USED IN THE DRYER!! Anyway, I’m getting my bestie one of these next week if I see this one holds through the week! It also has a basic but nice appearance. It’s a GO for this brand and I’m glad I chose it - it’ll do the job for now and if needed I’ll replace it with a zippered one- it also makes zero noise so that’s a bonus!! It’s nothing like sleeping on a plastic protector!! It’s actually very comfy!!! I recommend this to people with 14 inch and under only buyers!
