I bought these watches mainly because I wanted a torch that my children would not lose, and that they would have on them so as not to have to carry and remember to carry loads of stuff. The watches are obviously a bit bulkier on the wrist than a normal watch but you can see how they look on the picture. They are really for adults and I would imagine brilliant if you are a runner/camper/outdoor type. The strap is pretty adjustable and my 4 year old manages to keep it on no problem. The torch is really very good, it has 3 settings, one which flashes etc. The charge lasts a good while, my 10 year old son took his away on a school trip for a week and managed on one charge. He was thrilled when the guide in the salt mine turned off all the light and asked the children what they were going to do now, and he was able to turn his watch torch on!! It is pretty quick to recharge via the USB cable supplied, I think an hour or two. It has a button compass which just slots through the wrist strap so to be honest my kids don't use that but I think you can see it as an optional extra. We did try one in the garden though and it did work. I contacted the seller to ask questions and there is an actual person who emailed me back and was very helpful, this is very rare on internet purchases so I felt confident enough to order a few more watches, my mums treat (!), for all my (5) kids and my sister's family. They camp a lot and found them useful for the adults and the kids. When we had a problem with one of the lights not working they quickly sorted it all out. I really have nothing bad to say at all and can only praise this brilliant idea! Ingenious!

Easy to use but I'm not convince about its accuracy in finding studs: in my house it worked fairly well but in another house, which is a new build, I had a bit more trouble fining some studs - maybe it is because of the additional insulation used. For electrical wiring it seems only to detect when in use i.e. when a light is on. For the price, I'm happy with it.

very disappointing wish I had bought a well known brand. I used it once just after I bought it - just gone to use it again with fresh battery and the screen is blank!!!

Does the job.

This is the second one of these I've bought as I frankly destroyed my last one. The watch is accurate but god knows if it has a battery or how you change it, the torch is powerful and the battery holds its charge well. The compass that comes with it is somewhat hit or miss, but I've found that with button compasses in general so it is not really a reason to knock a star off for me.
