can't even rate the product because can't get the bottle open
I cannot comment about the contents of the bottle, because after two hours I have not been able to get the bottle open. I've tried calling the phone number on the box but it's after hours, I've been all over their website - nothing - and despite all the paraphernalia I have to help open jars and bottles I have really sore hands and wrists having tried the push down/twist and squeeze inwards/twist. If I can't open it, there's no chance my mother would be able to. I still have a cough, I've wasted $6 and I have a bottle of cough mixture I'm ready to hurl out the window. Never buying this product again.

I am very disappointed in the maker of this product.
Very misleading about the ingredients of this product. After opening and smelling the contents I thought it smelled weird as what I was expecting to smell was a sweet honey odor and instead we smelled a very strong sugary "medicine" smell. So after looking at the ingredient I was really shocked to find HIGH FRUCTOSE CORN SYRUP as an ingredient BEFORE honey. Which means there is less honey in this product than HFCS. Not to mention the words Nature Fusion gives the impression that the ingredients are a more natural approach - hence the words REAL HONEY at the bottom of the box. Why I could save a few bucks and buy a can of soda that has HFCS and and throw in a halls drop for the whole cough suppressant effect. Very disappointed and ashamed of the maker for using such unhealthy ingredients as HFCS. Dan

Works very well, tastes utterly vile
I had no problem opening the bottles - I bought two on a buy one get one free sale. It's got a good strong dose of dextromethorphan, but you take two tablespoons of it, and believe me, it's tough to get down. Both my husband and I only take it when we're coughing so bad the coughing is worse than the taste. It's thick like honey, but sure doesn't taste like it.

Glad I'm not the only one who had issues opening the bottle.
I was starting to seriously doubt my capabilities as an adult human being. The bottle IS really hard to open. I ended up using a towel to press the cap/bottle down onto a table after shredding the skin on the palm of my hand a little. It opened right up when I did that. If you can't open yours, try that. Once you actually take the medicine though it works great. I rarely take cold medicine, took this, and slept like a baby.

opening bottle challenges
The syrup is good and is effective, but opening the bottle is a challenge the first time....pressing down and twisting just does not work...wish they made it easier and the ratings would get better...I still wonder why they had to make it so tough for people who are sick and have no strength on this.

Only thing that works for me.
Vicks used to make a similar cough syrup called "Casero" and it was the only product that worked for me as far as an expectorant. They discontinued it several years ago and I was very disappointed. Then they came out with this product, which is quite similar works for me like Casero did. Unfortunately, my local grocery and drug stores stopped carrying it but fortunately I've found it here. It doesn't have the best taste I agree, but whatever is in this stuff, it helps loosen that "junk" in my chest so I can cough it up. I have set up a "subscribe and save" order so I can keep getting this product.

if you do find a bottle I'm not sure I would order it, it will never be made again O well.
Its what I wanted but I was not sick by the time I got it and it will expire in 60 or so days from the time I got it. It will more than likely go to waste. Oops o well
