Just what I needed

My favorite needles, large eye, easy to thread.

I hate the blunt-tipped needles that come with xstitch kits or are recommended in patterns—these are incredibly sharp (I've donated blood to them more than a handful of times) but I find that aspect helps me stitch faster. Backstitching is easier, and most importantly, doing a pin stitch to anchor the thread from the front is simple and reliable. I reorder these every time.

I have used these chenille needles for years for my big stitch (utility stitch) hand quilting dine about 2015. They are the best! I like the size #24 needles because of they are slightly thicker and have a large eye. I normally use #8 perle thread for the quilting but 12wt thread is also good. The needle is quite sturdy and I have only broken one in all these years. I will be buying several more packages within the month as a hedge against the future. You can never have enough quilting needles!

I prefer sharp needles over blunt for my cross stitch projects. I hope you can see in my photo the difference I'm trying to describe. These are a great value and I will purchase again
