DMCChenille Hand Needles, Size 24 6/Pkg

Bought these to replace the needled I keep losing. They are sturdy, easy to use. I would buy these again and will when needed.

Used this needle with nylon thread to repair a backpack. Worked great. It's an outstanding needle. The king (or queen?) of needles. Good price and well respected amongst other needles in the needle community :-)

So..I bought this item thinking that a "six pack" was one pack with six needles. Nope, I got six packs of six needles each! I had to sew together two very thick pieces of cording (think heavy duty backpack straps), and after much research, I decided that a Size 18 needle was the right fit. I don't know anything about sewing or needles. I bought these, some heavy duty thread, watched several videos on YouTube on how to backstitch, and got to work. It turns out that it's really hard to manipulate without a needle pusher, but I managed to get it to work. The needles were very sharp and that certainly helped. I had trouble making the backstitch look good, but that's because of my poor sewing skills and not the needles. At the end, I actually did a decent job and repaired what I needed to repair. I kept two packs for myself and gave 4 packs to my mom. Very, very happy with this item, and so happy I got 36 needles instead of 6.

Worked with janome

Worked for my purposes, and they appear to be uniform, and of good quality.

I use them to weave in my crochet tails and the tails stay more secure than when I used a tapestry needle and I don't have to weave in as much to secure the yarn.

Used these to sew size 3 yarn into felt, which worked great.

I have just used one, it has a sharp point and a big eye.

I thought I was ordering cross stitch needles size 24- which usually have a dull point but when they arrived these needles have a sharp point and say they are Chenille needles. Not sure what Chenille is but they are not really suitable for cross stitch.
