Mr Entertainer Karaoke Microphone, Echo Control G158Y

I'm a solo saxophonist, performing to backing tracks. I tend to mike the tracks through my amp but play the sax unmiked, even in pubs, halls and outdoor amphitheatres etc, only miking up if onstage, going through venue's PA.But after having performed in a particularly noisy pub recently, I miked the sax but my microphone chose that moment to start cutting out! I found the Mr Entertainer one, complete with an echo control (the echo powered by an AA battery) and I thought it would be just the job, to improve audio quality with a bit of reverb, instead of forking out for a whole PA and mixer system. Tested it at home and it works well through the same amp as my tracks, without having to have a separate mixer, since I'm only solo, not a band. Tested in the field, at a village hall and it hit the spot again, I only used a light echo but it mixes well with the tracks.When unscrewing the handle to insert the battery, I note that it is a metal construction, which is good. The one caveat is that the three pin connection for the cable to the bottom of the mic feels a bit wobbly but does stay connected.

It hasn't got any echo on it like it says just sounds the same as my other mics but sounds ok
