Works great with my Butterfly Pro
I was glad to see this product was still available, as my Skull Shaver Butterfly Pro razor has been replaced with the Butterfly Kiss; and buying a whole new razor was not in the budget. Product looks and works like the original. My razor is back to doing its job.

Could be one bad apple? updated10/17
When I bought the Bald Eagle I bought a replacement head to avoid the exact situation I ended up experiencing any way. I bought the shaver a little over 2 months ago and have used it once sometimes twice a week since and have cleaned it after each use. This past Saturday 20 minutes after my former Barber closed for the weekend while shaving my head it made a grinding sound and lost almost all power to the blades. My first thought was that perhaps I'd let my hair grow too long & clogged the head. I attached the replacement head and tried to finish shaving. The shaver didn't sound right but showed 80% power remaining. As soon as I tried to shave one of the heads popped off. I reinserted it but the shaver did not sound right and the most it did was pull hair.I ended up taking the original head outside and blew out the hair with a compressor. It worked good enough to finish my haircut but I'm out $16 for the replacement blade since more than 30 days had passed sine I bought it.Online they mention that the middle head needs to be removed and cleaned manually though their video link skips over the video entirely. Nor is there any written instructions available regarding the center head. Something seems fishy to me. As unhappy as I am with the replacement head, the negative reviews about the shaver itself lasting only a few months is what really has me worried.Until Saturday I'd have written glowing reviews on the Bald Eagle by Skull Shaver. I'm very happy with the job it does with no irritation or cuts. I wonder how long it will last.Update October 2017: I've been shaving my head, neck and face with the same head every other day for over nine months until I dropped and broke it. One of the heads popped off and the screen separated from the blades and retaining ring. Poor eyesight kept me from snapping it back together and then back into the head.I rinsed it thoroughly after every shave and it only clogged twice in nine months where I needed to disassemble it and use the brushes to clean it out.

Good Product - Wish it was more sturdy
I have had the skull shaver for about 6 months, and I really like the product. However, the clips that hold the shaving elements to the gears are just plastic. These plastic pieces broke on my shaver after a few months, so I reordered the piece you see here. It is the same model as the original and is working fine so far. The other minor downside is the plastic cover does not stay covering the metal portion of the elements. Any movement and the cover pops off, so this always happens when travelling.

Great Product but Dealing With the Manufacturer Can Be Very Difficult
I am a big fan of the Skullshaver Products and I have used them now for many years. Unfortunately I had my Bald Eagle Smart die out on me after less than 1 year of usage, due to some odd technical malfunction. Which was very odd, as the quality tends to be very high and I had purchased this replacement blade for that item. Unfortunately the manufacturers customer service is very much below par and it took them too long to decide to replace the product under their warranty policies. Luckily Amazon was able to step in and help with the interaction between myself and the manufacturer.

Five Stars
I've used this replacement head on my Skull Shaver Bald Eagle Smart and be sure it's XL as another reviewer said. All of the negative reviews are disturbing, but so far the original shaver has been better than I thought it would be. Then, I started shaving my head and the original, which I've had for 15 months, lasted very well and the replacement is a great shave so far very early in it's life I hope. I have a goutee and the rest of my face and head I DRY shave with this in less than 5 minutes, very fast and a B+ shave at least. How can I be such a satisfied customer when there are so many complainers about the quality of this Skull Shaver replacement head? And me a natural cynic? Anyways, I clean it in enough water to barely cover the head blades and keep it running to displace hair. Works for dummy me. Worked for 15 months on the original head. I do not take out and clean the 5 blades like I've read some folks do. Not me. Bottom line, I am very satisfied with the Bald Eagle Smart. I've not had to deal with customer service and I can shave very fast and very clean. The price wasn't going to break me and so add everything up and this product in my experience is 5 star!

Mostly happy ... but there's always something
About to order my 2rd replacement blades (not including the blades that came with the Skullshaver) unit; last one I ordered and started using mid February 2017. In the 2 situations so far where I've had to order the replacement, it's not because the shaver didn't do its job; it did that quite well.My problem is that when I follow the instructions for cleaning the blades, they never really get as clean / unclogged as I'd like them to be (the instructions in a nutshell say to hold the shaver with the blade in a shallow bowl or something similar of warm water for about 15 seconds). Because of this, I have been popping the actual blades (4 of them, haven't figured out how to get the middle one) off and then using an old toothbrush to clean out the clippings; and this works **great**. But when you pop them out, on two occasions, some small part or other has popped off and as best I've been able to figure out, at that point it's all over for that unit. So this is very frustrating, obviously. On the other hand, for $18 for a blade set, it's a whole lot less expensive than would be purchasing some other brand, which may not shave as well, or which has the same problems with the blade unit ... so at least for now, I'm going to replace the blade unit yet again and keep on going.Oh, and I'm also going to try that "sports car" blade thing (can't remember its name) but for $8 or $9 not really much to lose, except for the blood that I fear may come out of the cuts that I fear using *any* sharp object on a curved, hard to reach surface.

Best shaver I've owned
What an excellent product. I love the skullshaver. Easy to use and no hairs on the floor to sweep up. The replacement blades are easy to replace. I would recommend it and buy it again.
