Anthony Spices - Carolina Reaper Cheese Balls (Extremely Hot Cheese Balls)

I bought these not knowing what to expect, and I got exactly what I deserved haha. They're actually really tasty! Just do it!

Have not written a review in a while... These deserve some typing. Here is my experience. Upon seeing the bag i was not impressed. It is not big. Like 2.0 ounces. Think small bag of lunch size chips. Don't give up at the diminutive appearance. Please continue. 1) Upon opening- Color and smell is desirable but does not have "hot, smell"... 2) Picking one out of the package feels just like a high quality cheese ball. 3) Touch tongue to ball. No big deal. No alarm bells. 4) Insert entire cheesy puff ball and get impressed by great flavor. 5) The flavor fades away quickly. 6) Now the fun starts. 7) About 10 seconds in, the reaper comes a knocking. Disclaimer **I like really hot stuff** 8) For the next few minutes the heat increases to about a tolerable 7 out of 10 for me. 9) The burn lasts bout 5 minutes and tapers to a sustained mild heat for 10 minutes. 10) Now you are done. Repeat as often as you like. Summary- Impressive cheese flavor for a few seconds that lead to very good to excellent heat delivery. Not like a death destroyer but, tolerable if you only eat one or two. This is not the kind of heat that requires a signature for a release of liability. I do not recommend setting these out in a bowl for your 'buddies'. They may eat a handful before realizing you are sadistic and enjoy suffering. Well, that is about it. Enjoy the feeling of real Carolina Reapers on cheesy puff balls.

Not for the faint of heart. Amazing flavor which makes me hate them. Want to pop multiple of them but fear that would kill me. The heat hits instantly and takes a little while to wear off. More of a challenge indeed. Still though they taste so good. I’ll finish this bag make no mistake but it comes at a price.

Very fresh and they are truly the hottest cheese balls out there. I survived them with the help of some chocolate milk.

My son and I are always on the lookout for snacks that are both HOT and full of flavor. Usually we get one or the other...this is one of those times. These are HOT and SPICY but have NO flavor. It says cheese balls, but it might as well be a piece of foam coated with the spicy powder. No cheese flavor, just heat. We like heat, but we also want flavor. If you are looking for something that will be spicy hot for a challenge or something, this is it. If you are looking for a snack that is spicy and good tasting...keep looking.

I love the spice on these cheese balls. These are an actual flavorful and spicy version of the classic cheese balls snacks. I will definitely be buying these again. Very enjoyable for a movie night or to put out at a party. People at a party that act like they can handle spice sometimes cry from the heat which makes for a good laugh. These are worth the price for the laugh and for the flavor of a great product.

Here’s the real scoop. They are hit and they get your throat in about 5-10 seconds and the burn builds for about a minute. It lasts for about 10 minutes. If your comparing to the real reaper it’s no where near! But if you’re looking for a fun novelty item this is it!

So, curiosity brought me to these. I got tired of beef jerky with the same peppers making the claim how hot they was. Wanted to try something different. Here we are. This was different, there’s warnings on the bag (which I thought was a small bag, at first) Telling you to handle with gloves, and to consult with a doctor if you have certain conditions or an ulcer. Already signs of a good time when cracking into these. I try one, watching a review on here, it was hilarious and had me sold on them. I still took it as a cautionary tale to start slow and feel these out. My mouth instantly felt warmed, sometimes the powder flakes off and hits you in the throat as you’re chomping these. That won’t be fun. But bear through it, you’ll taste cheese eventually. I felt the warmness crawling down to my stomach as I swallowed the crushed and chewed cheese ball. Enjoyed the burn and let it be. With it being a small bag, you can’t and certainly don’t want to make the mistake of absentmindedly snacking on these during a favorite show. Next day, I made a small mistake of having one of these on an empty stomach. Different experience and the digestion process, well let’s just say explosive, and there was a pain from start to finish. I’ve been rationing these a bit, just so I don’t get through them as quickly. But I’m slowly building up a tolerance to them. Having a handful through out the day or night. Stopping myself because I want to enjoy these as long as possible. There’s an issue with things like this though, the spice flavor can completely overpower the cheese flavor. Which sucks, sometimes. Theres something of a warning about these not mixing with alcohol, whether it’s cause we tend to get a bit dumber during a few good drinks or for some kind of interaction between two. I don’t question it, and wouldn’t entirely recommend mixing the two. I’ll gladly buy these again, especially if they release a bigger amount. But when this first bag is emptied, I can’t see why I wouldn’t return for more, cause I enjoyed the hell out of these balls. Update 9/13/2020: I finished these, I had a few on most days, almost seemed like the last few (10 or so) they was starting to become stale. Pretty sure I closed the bag completely, but keep that in mind. These can last a nice amount of time but a month is probably pushing it. If you like heat and cheese balls, maybe give them a try. Spicy stuff isn’t for everyone, and I sure as hell wouldn’t suggest these being your first attempt into this particular brand of peppers.
