Fantastic! Great value!
This is a perfect tortilla press. The cast iron is quality and handle is sturdy.Be careful on some of these reviews. They almost “swayed” me in a different direction, but I took a chance. One reviewer gave it 1 star because the “cast iron care sheet” they provided was, “too much work for her!”, lol. ALL cast iron requires care, pre-seasoned or not and this requires no more care than any other piece, maybe even less since depending if you cook on it or just use it as a press. As for the handle, not sure how the others broke theirs, since most of the pressing is done simply closing the top. My handle is solid and requires very little pressure. I can’t help but wonder if maybe someone put it on backwards or their dough was too tough? IDK, can only speak for myself. The parchment paper is “”ok”, it’s NOT wax paper for sure, but most of my tortillas peeled right off, a few stuck, but honestly I think that was my fault due to little dough. The important take away is this is a solid press and the cast iron is even. I still rotate 180° and press again, but that’s just habit. This should last a looong time with proper care. What else can you buy for $20 that will last 20+ yrs? That alone warrants 3 stars minimum. The fact it works warrants the 2 stars!

Works, solid.
Solid, works great. I did notice one side got slightly thinner than the other but it was fine. It takes very little effort. I recommend using sheets of wax paper between the press and the dough to help with sticking.

Worth it for the press, use different parchment
Great press overall, but the parchment paper it comes with is not very good.

Great price, great tortillas and great customer service!
Excellent customer service made this 5 stars instead of 4. My product broke outside of the return window (~90 days after purchase) and I sent a picture/email to the company. Two days later, TWO DAYS LATER, I had a new one at my door. This is how I do business and how I expect to be treated, so kudos to Uno Casa for the great customer service! The Pros:- Easy to assemble and use- Pre-seasoned and ready to go- Quickly makes nice looking tortillas- 100 pcs parchment paper are very handy- Great customer service- Great priceThe Cons:- Doesn't get the tortillas as thin as I would like, but I make up for it with thinner dough.- Could be a little sturdier, broke after 3 months use. (I may have pressed too hard though)The bottom line: This product is as advertised and does a great job making tortillas, especially for the price.

Wrong Hardware Included -- Told to suck it up by customer service
It's a simple device, right? Three pieces of iron: 2 plates and one handle. If you look at the picture, they show the plates forming a hinge that is held by a long screw with a wingnut on the end. The handle has the same setup, just shorter. My Unocasa (why its not Unacasa, I'll never get) came with three screws and wingnuts. All are sized for the handle. The hinge has an unsecured cotter pin through it. It's hollow and inside-threaded to receive a screw to secure it in place. No such screw came with the item. More bizarrely, the packaging says that it comes with an extra "rivet".I challenge anyone to look at the picture and show me any rivets in use anywhere. There are exactly two fasteners on the device, both are screws held in place with wingnuts (which doesn't match the hinge pins they appear to be using now).So I've got this tortilla press that is unusable unless I take a trip to the hardware store.Maybe you'll be one of the lucky people that gets their press delivered in a usable condition. I sure wasn't.UPDATE 19-June-2021: I contacted customer service by email. It took them three weeks to get back to me. They requested a picture and my address. I sent them the picture and reiterated that all I need is the little screw that secures the cotter pin. They pasted in the specs the hinge screw that takes a wingnut, not the one that goes on the end of the cotter pin. They told me to go root around in a hardware store to find a fastener. It's been a long time since I hated a company so much.UPDATE 29-June-2021: I got a note saying they'd send me the missing fastener.
