X-Seed Quick and Thick Dog Spot Lawn Repair Mix, 1.75-Pound

Worked well for me, I used a garden "claw" to tear up the soil, about 1 inch down, removed any sticks, stones, ect., applied X-seed , covered with a light layer of hay, and and watered thoroughly every day. Came up very nicely in a week, removed layer of hay. Growing great! :)

At first this dog spot repair did not work for my lawn at all. I spread it on the yellow spots and watered it regularly, but no grass grew.So I went back to the Amazon page, read the instructions and followed them closely. The second time around, I actually prepared the spots that needed repair properly and then used this seed mixture. Results have been excellent for me, all the yellow spot have been filled in and the new grass blends in really well with the existing lawn. I have purchased a second bag for some additional lawn repair.

I have bought this product many times. We live in an apartment and our dogs often destroy the grass. I like to help out and purchased this to apply to the dead spots. Within a couple weeks the grass started growing. This works great.

Will not grow in sun, only in shade, no matter how much you water it.

I have bought this product every year to help repair our lawn from doggie damage. It has worked extremely well in the past when the seed was mixed in with this mulch type mixture. All I would need to do is add water for it to expand and place it around my yard to repair the spots. I would water it daily and the mulch mixture would help hold in the moisture for these hot summer days and the grass would grow beautifully......well, they have changed the mixture and all you get is seed that doesn't grow!! I'm so disappointed. I will not buy again.

After clearing spot and racking area, I applied seed as suggested and no growth occurred.
