Too bulky, mechanics are questionable, security too
You stick your USB drive into the Data Guard, as if it were a USB hub at your computer. Two little teeth grab the two dimples on top of the drive and thus lock it down. Then you twist the three wheels on the side of the Data Guard to block the locking mechanism.Several things to contemplate here:- the length of the whole contraption, USB drive plus Data Guard, is exorbitantly large; not really easily transportable anymore- the wheels of the lock are flimsy at best, and I don't trust that they will works flawlessly all the time; at my Data Guard, the first wheel does not move without applying severe force - it might be stuck one day with a stick in it ...- ... which would not be the end of the world; by my estimation, a srewdriver and some patience would take care of that ... which does not speak well for the actual main function of the device: to keep your data safe by not allowing access to the USB connector of the stick; I might be wrong, but the whole construction is not very ... trustworthy. I am an aerospace engineer and have cracked tougher nuts than that ...To sum it up: I don't use my Data Guard - it's a funny gimmick, nothing more. To prevent someone to access the data on your stick, better use a good software encryption ...

Faulty Product, Horrible Customer Support
If I could give this product zero or negative stars, I would. Not only have I struggled to make this product lock when it is supposed to, but now that it will not UNlock, I called customer support to see what I am doing wrong. Their recommendation: "You have to break it.""I have to break it?""Yes, there's nothing you can do to fix it. There's no special way to open it. If you enter the combination and it doesn't work, you have to break it off, like with a hammer or screwdriver or something."The woman who told me this was very comfortable with offering this solution.I'm off to go find a sledge hammer so I can take care of it. Would I buy anything made or sold by Digital Innovations again? Need I answer that?

How to Recover your Flashdrive from the Chinese USB Trap!
The best way to describe this device, is like a Chinese Finger Trap, but 10 times worse.I was lucky to have carefully broken my flash drive out of this without destroying it in the process. For anyone who had the same misfortune:Step 1: Get a small yet sturdy hammer and a hard metal block or Anvil.Step 2: Place the drive on the anvil/block, so that the combo wheels face up.Step 3: Repeatedly and firmly hit the area with the combo wheels. It should destroy the plastic locking mechanism inside. DO NOT HIT THE ACTUAL LOCK PART OF THIS, as it WILL Destroy the USB port of the Flash Drive.Step 4: Press the button and get your Flash drive out. If it doesn't work, continue to hammer away at the body of this piece of junk until it does. This is probably the worst USB device I've ever had the displeasure of owning and using. The method to change the combination is the same as the method to UNLOCK the USB, which is to hold down the bright red button. It's a garbage product. Don't waste your money, just buy some portable strongbox, or better yet, keep your flash drive where it won't fall out of your pocket.

Worthless
If I could give this worthless hunk of metal 0 stars I would. This piece of junk ended up eating my 32 GB flash drive! Needless to say I'm PISSED. The manufacturer is a complete retard. What kind of moron's only solution is to break the damn product?! Never purchase from this company again, I implore you.
