Low Vision Playing Cards

Bought these for a relative with extremely low vision, peripheral only. The colors do help; he can't distinguish between the green and the blue, but these work better for him than the large-print red-and-black type. It took all of us a while to get used to the cards, but we have adjusted. Please note that these are a standard-sized deck -- the print is large, but the cards themselves are normal-sized.

Great cards for someone who is suffering from slow vision loss. Also good for young kids to learn about cards and their values and suits.

Having 4 colors initially takes some orientation time. It helps having smaller number and original red or black on card. I gave these to my sister for Christmas and she loved the bright colors and similarity to regular card deck.

I bought these cards at the recommendation of a blind client when talking about my grandmother who has very poor vision. Initially I was told to purchase the brail cards but my grandma is semi vain and not entirely blind. I figured instead of one big step we’d take baby steps. Well I initially sent her one deck to see (pardon the pun) if she liked them and if they were effective. She called me up and asked me to order her two more decks so when she can play with her assisted living buddies (hopefully sooner than later) she’ll have enough decks. Cards, crafting/sewing and reading were all of my grandmas hobbies and as her macular degeneration intensified she lost the ability to see, then read without an apparatus and when we last played cards she’d ask if what she had was a club or a spade. Sad really. Truth is she’s still a card shark and crushes everyone in the family at any card game and she has the mental capacity to keep up with the best of us. Just her eyesight is failing. These cards are very good for low visibility! I highly recommend them!

Considering these cards are for low vision people I would think the actual card size should be bigger. Not just the print

They look great and they are big so people with bad eyes can see and read . They are made very well

After two delays and me cancelling order these cards arrived anyway. Colors are bright and easy to see but cost is too high for product in my opinion.
