Super solid igniter, why have I waited so long to replace mine?

The original igniter from Harbor Freight quit working. Ordered this and it now works perfectly.

I got this for our Outland fire bowl and I'd buy it again but I'd install it differently. Underneath the firebowl there's a bottom cover. There's a round hole in that cover near the burner assembly, obviously there for an ignitor. So I drilled out in the center of that existing hole and as you see in the other picture the business ignitor is too close to the edge of the burner. In my case it sparks across from the ceramic to the burner and works, not always on first click. I'm gonna leave it alone but if I had a do-over i'd pick a spot and drill from the top, probably on the opposite side of the burner tube. It was a pain but worth it.

These igniters do not work. Tried them both in various locations in my grill and they don’t have enough spark to light anything.

Price was right but quality is not there.

Used this to update an old heater and it worked great, just took time to get the location and spark gap worked out. Since you get two the second will go on another project.
