Britax Boulevard G4.1 Convertible Car Seat, Domino

DD used to whine before falling asleep in her Graco infant carseat. It doesn't have enough cushion and feels plasticy. Because we planned to take an hour long trip, I decided to get a new carseat so that everybody can have a more enjoyable trip.The first few days, we put her in just to run errand to the grocery stores, go to the library and local parks. She felt asleep in it so it must be a good sign even though this new carseat doesn't feel cushy either. But with the infant padding, it helps. Also, installing the seat in the middle instead of on the driver or passenger side helps avoid the sun from heating it up and gets too hot for DD to sit in.DD didn't sleep at all on the day itself. She was uncomfortable and restless. So, the hour long drive wasn't as pleasant as I had wanted it to be. I decided to keep this carseat because of the initial experiences. Perhaps, it was just that one day. We will have to test it out again before making a 6-8 hours trip next year.The carseat arrived in a crummy box---taped on the top and dented all over. The structure of the box has definitely been compromised. The carseat itself is wrapped in a plastic bag. The bag looks new. The only defect found is on the right side of the seat where the stitches have been stretched. Will see how long it holds up before fraying. Installation is super easy once you read the manual. This is not the 2015/2016 model with 7-recline position even though it is bought in September 2015. This has only 3 recliner. Still I think the less complicated the mechanics, the easier it is on the parents.

Don't get me wrong, this is a great car seat and a reason that made me want to buy it was because of the good reviews and was from a very respectable company, but oh boy was it confusing to adjust.The instruction booklet...notice I said booklet because it was thick; was confusing and took a lot of trial and error before I found what they were trying to explain on any adjustment from the head rest to the seat belts. The installation to my SUV was easy, but the straps were again confusing to adjust. Overall, this is a good car seat. My baby was comfortable which earned it a solid 3 stars, but the difficulty and frustration I went through making the adjustments knocked off the other 2 stars as this could have definitely gave this a perfect score.I later found out that there was a demonstration video on YouTUBE for this car seat, so save yourself the time and frustration and watch the video. If I found out about the video earlier, definitely a 5 star product. Great product, poor instructions.

I hate to give Britax a bad review as I have been happy with their B-Agile infant seat and stroller. However, the lap straps and harness buckle did not work with my child, and I'm not sure how it works with any child. The strap and buckle cut into my child's thighs, the buckle seems too short. My child is 9 mo., 18lbs, 28in (50th percentile for weight, 80th for height). The straps cut across the thighs and squeeze into them, even before fully tightened. After just a few minutes in the seat she had red marks on her legs. I read through the manual and watched the video tutorials on Britax's website to ensure I wasn't doing something wrong. After doing some research I did come across several forums where other people had the same issue. Obviously, this isn't the case for everyone with so many good reviews so my suggestion is to find this seat in a store and test it out before purchasing. I ended up having to switch to the Chicco Nextfit. Luckily returns are quick and easy through Amazon.

Great car seat. The only things I don't like is the click feature when you tighten the straps is never, ever tight enough, so it seems quite pointless. I always check and tighten it at least two more times. Other thing I don't like is that it's a little hard to install at the proper angle when you rear face. The line on the side that supposed to be your guideline can never be quite horizontal as it should be. Other than that, I do like it though, and I'm a big Britax fan.

I have had this carseat for three months now. It's been a fine carseat and it seems very safe.I took it out the other day to move it to another car and noticed that the white seam is shredding. I'm kind of mad I spent so much on a carseat that looks bad after so short of a time.I love britax and really trust their safety but this seems like a defect.

Got a better price on this expensive car seat by shopping the open box and used items. The seat was brand new with only the boxing damaged. This is a great car seat and seems to offer very good protection. Although the base seems small, does have a double strapping system to hold the seat in place.

I have had this car seat 4 months and the white cording framing seat is fraying....is this inferior material.....is all the material inferior....will the material not last the life of car seat.I did not expect this of BRITAX. very disappointing

Another great car seat from top rated britax. Used to buy other brands but once I brought a britax I never wanted to buy another car seat. I know about carsears, I own 8 of them.
