We put this under a cool IKEA rug we like that had a great design but was pretty thin. This enhanced that rug so much in terms of confort. Very comfortable rug pad. Note you might have to trim this down to your rug size!! Easy enough to cut with a razor blade or sharp scissors.I was torn between the 3/8 and 1/2 thickness. I am very glad I went with the 1/2 inch size!My wife loves this because she is always getting down on the ground and playing with the dogs and this pad has made her a believer in rug pads! Very cushioning and worth the investment.

Order one size under your rug size. We ended up trimming several feet off to fit our 9x12 rug. We have concrete floors so this padding made such a difference in our living area. Worth the price!

I have purchased 3 of these separately in the last 3 months.I loved the first one upstairs in my bedroom, but after refinishing my main floor hardwood floors and I purchased a new rug that I did not think I wanted or needed a rug pad under, I changed my mind after the first pad purchase.It not only was helpful in keeping my 9x12 bedroom rug in place, it made this new rug feel soft and luxurious.I ended up buying my second pad to put under an already existing (15 year old rug) formal living room rug and the third pad was put under a brand new dining room rug. Everyone said I didn't need one there but I'm glad I put this pad pad under if. Again, it made the dining room rug feel more luxurious.

I bought this rug pad to go under a thin rug I bought on Amazon to go under my desk and chair. For the price, I wish it were denser than it is. It also sheds A LOT. Like, I laid it down and full on chunks and handfuls of the felt stuff were coming off it before I could get the rug down. The grip is ok on my wood laminate flooring. It moved a bit before I put my heavy glass desk on it.

Ignore the cat hair on my rug please. I have tile floors. I bought 4 of these pads. I believe they are 1/4 in thick.I like them very much!One side is smooth and soft (facing up), the other side is more rough(floor side). You need a strong pair of scissors to cut the excess pieces.It doesn’t let my rug slip around. It doesn’t stick to the floor. I have had the first one for 6 months with no issues and I got three more today for my other rugs. No smell.

Honestly didn’t expect much and it’s met expectations. It’s thick and helps with sound proofing. It was easy to put down and out a rug on top of. And super easy to trim to size.

people with hardwood floor are leaving bad reviews because they don’t know that you’re supposed to use rubber rug pads for hardwood floors under this. This pad is for cushioning and protecting your rug. I used it on my carpeted room to have a nice cushion sitting area I do not have this problem if anything it helps the rug not slide off the carpet. It also helps the rug not fold up on itself even if you have hardwood floor. The only thing you need if you have hardwood floor is to get in adhesive or under this padding. Both sides of this padding are pretty soft. The bottom is just slightly more flattened, but it doesn’t make a difference to me if anything it should help to stick rubber adhesive pads under it if you have hardwood floor. Nothing to complain about and definitely won't be returning. This feels like it will last a few years if not more.

The rug pad itself in its thickness is good quality however the measurements were not correct. The rug was smaller than advertised and not an 8x8 square. Which I didn’t realize until I had moved all of my living room furniture. After contacting both the seller and Amazon, I was pleased that the seller refunded me for the mistake. But it was a very big hassle to deal with and I still have to go through moving everything again when I order another one. I would have rather gotten the correct measurements in the first place. Unsure if I’d buy again.
