Is the lager press ok with smaler projects

I think it depends on the smaller project. If it’s on a shoe, probably not but if it’s still on a flat surface such as a tshirt or bag, it’s fine.

Can this be used to transfer onto materials such as porcelain?

Hi I wondered this initially and looked into it. You can transfer onto cork mats and tiles which I did quite successfully and have transferred lots onto material. I bought a epson printer and sublimation ink and paper. The printer cost me #50 and the inks about 20. I can now print anything I want but not onto china. I love it as I can design and print my own stuff. If you print onto anything apart from fabric you must by specially prepared items which amazon sell. These have a special coating which react with inks otherwise it won't work. The image needs to be flat as well. There is a mug printer on amazon if all you want is to print onto mugs then you need the printer and the paper. It's good fun. I love the heat press as it has a cut out a bit like an iron.
