Multiple uses.
I didn’t buy this for it’s stated purpose. I was looking for something sturdy and sharp enough to remove the seeds and slimy strings from pumpkins. Spoons aren sharp enough, and tolls for the stated purpose are either too cheap and don’t work or they are 26.00. So I tried this. This tool is strong and sturdy. I had no issues pulling and scraping out the seeds of many pumpkins. (We didn’t plant pumpkins, but there must have been seeds in the compost so we grew a ton of them.) This tool also works super on frozen butter. I ran out of thawed out butter for toast , so got out frozen and shaved it off with this. The sayings were thin enough to melt right away on the toast. I recommend this multipurpose kitchen tool/shaver. I have only used it for two purposes so far but I can foresee many more uses. I would caution that it is Very Sharp. I personally like that it’s sharp, but others ,any not

Didn’t work for me
I had a very hard time using this. I think it must be made to use with large chunks of chocolate, and I usually am using a regular bar. Just doesn’t work for me.

Sharp end can cut you
I believe it's a good tool, well-made, but I would warn people that the tip of the business end has a sharp point that can cut you if you're not careful.

Great for getting seeds out of squash!
This is the time of year when baked squash feature on our family's menu. Whatever it's stated culinary purpose, this is a great device for removing the seeds!

Doesn’t do the nice round butter balls
Was used to another tool that is much smaller and really makes those beautiful butter balls. This is too wide and won’t do that

For VERY big butter curls
The scoop section is bigger than I expected, so its a bit tough to get a nice butter curl, but its pretty close to its description. Totally unnecessary addition to my kitchen but why not?
