Dodsworth Doesn’t Disappoint
This series is great fun for you children to early elementary. My 6 year old loves to read them and my 9 year old still enjoys them for a quick family story. We have re-read several times and purchases as gifts, as well. Dodsworth adventures are always entertaining!

Great book for kids staycation
Another charming and witty book by Tim Egan. My boys (6 years and 3 years old) love the Dodsworth series. The adventures and misadventures of Dodsworth and Duck bring these famous cities to life for my boys. Somehow, this duo always end up homeless halfway through their city stay. My boys especially loved the part of this book where Dodsworth and Duck took jobs as bread delivery men and accidentally ended up in the Tour de France. This author always manages add humor to keep the kids laughing and wanting more.My older son is a rising 2nd grader. He feels confident reading these chapter books. I have tons of chapter books at home to prevent the summer slide. Honestly, with this series I do not have to push him to read. He can't wait to read them.

Fun and made boys want to read
This is part of a series. Dodsworth and duck are always having hilarious adventures which greatly amuses my beginner readers. Locations and tourist sites are tricky words but the story line made my boys want to sound out the tricky words. With colorful pics on every page and best - chapters! My boys had such an ego boost that they read a book with chapters! Font was nice sized and spacing on pages with words was good. No messy or distracting putting words over pictures. Well lived by both my boys 6 - 7 years of age when they read it.

Dodsworth is the Best!
I tutor third grade children in an urban area where children are not necessarily exposed to the beauties of the world. Dodsworth is the perfect vehicle to introduce young kids to the magic of Paris. The character of the duck really makes the book work because the mischief he gets into leads the story line to new, interesting places (e.g. the Louvre or the Eiffel Tower). The young boy I work with absolutely loves the Dodsworth series, and thinks the duck is positively hilarious. I bring a map of the world with me to show him where the stories are taking place. He now has knowledge that he would not have acquired had he not been exposed to the Dodsworth series. He also loved the New York, Rome and London books in the series. Highly recommended!

Endearing series about the adventures of Dodswirtg and his quirky friend, Duck
Our family loves this series! With beautiful illustrations and a quirky, silly duck, these stories take the reader through New York, Paris, Rome, London and Tokyo. We have them all and it’s a go-to gift for kids ages 4-8. Perfect to read to our four year old, or for older children to read on their own.

Another wonderful Dodsworth story
We stumbled upon this series quite by accident. However, my older son has become quite fascinated with cities and countries. He loves reading these stories and seeing how cities are constructed differently, how social customs are different and the wacky adventures of Dodsworth. I think the best lesson though is that you cannot always anticipate how things are going to go and the books really seem to stress making the best of what you are given (but without being preachy).

Wonderful series that needs to be extended to more cities
The entire Dodsworth series is quirky and unique. Kids find it amusing but also learn about geographical landmarks and cultural facets for each destination. I wish this series were extended to cover more cities and more continents.

Great book! Buy it!!
This is a very cute and funny book! My son is 6 and loves all the books in this collection- it’s easy to read if your child can read on his own and it’s not boring if you have to read to him.
